I have heard that our names reflects our personality. they said if youll be named with a sounding strong name youll probably have a strong personality and vice versa. I have two first names which I find contradicting. the first one came from the Bible the second one is a modern name. And Im a mixed person. I have a liberated outlook in life and I do have some of super conservative views too. is my name the one responsible of my personality or I just simply belong of those people who has a so called split personality?

Lol. split personality eh!? well they say according to astrology and the stars and everything, even numerology plays a very important role in the events that occur in your life and it suggests the character traits that a person has. i don't know how far this is true in this world where the zodiac signs were changed for most of them recently and i became a opichus from a sagitarian which is the new 13th sign!

Aha.. same with my daughter she was a saggi and then now became Ophiuchus. Tho I dont beleive in astrology but you know when I read my personality traits as a Capricorn everything written there is almost true on me, at least 95%.. but for those devoted in astrology would there be confusion on them when their zodiac has changed? lol

You mean to say that you were capricorn before or you got the new sign now1??
Guess what, the ophiuchus's traits are also not entirely available on the net. i want to know what is so special about this sign so that i can flaunt about it just like how i used to do when i was a saggi!!

In my opinion, names do not affect the personality of the person.
We were babies then, when we were named by our parents. As we grow old, our values and personality are ahaped by the way how our parents has brought us.
So, in any way our names doesn't affect our personality.

I believe that our names do reflect our personality. The more passion and pride we have in our names, the stronger our personality will shine. if we are uncomfortable with our names, that will show too.

I don't know how one's name can reflect one's personality. However the name may tell you a lot about the person who gave it. I only use my name while I sign papers or checkbook. But my friends use it all the time. I don't even try to judge a person by his names. This is completely ridiculous. I don't want anyone to judge me in the same way either. For God's sake, it was not me who named myself. I am not the person responsible. I don't even know who gave me this name I have. I never cared. I hardly use it, like I said. You find your name as well as your personality mixed. This is a rather wishful thinking. You were trying to find a relation between those two and your mind assisted you in finding that. What you are seeing now is exactly what you wanted to see. So there is really no miracle, or surprise in that. I have a friend whose name has something to do with a 'warrior' but he is the humblest, kindest person I've ever seen.

I am not sure. I had observed though, that some people's names are the opposite of their personality.. Like, a girl named Angel is not a really nice girl, a girl named Lovely isn't pretty, and Jesus is named after a boy who isn't even nice at all. That's why I am never naming my children after the Bible, or a n adjective.

well i think your name can affect ur personality because ,biblically it affects, some name make impact to people lives, for example if your name is david ,it will sometimes affect ur life spiritually in the sense that u will be an obedient person and it will make people respect you because they believe david in the bible was a king and a very respected king...........

Your personality what makes you unique. I think that's what we call point of views and principles that can't be taken away from you. Your name plays a part but it does not evolve around there. You should not compare your actions because of your name. As for me I have two names too. My mother got it from a book and combined the two. It sounds nice than having Queenie (they considered naming me) as my name.
