Indeed, it seems that the papers, wallet, house keys and cell phone have become objects to be at our.Although they are usually attentive to this aspect, I happened to forget my phone or wallet. For example, one morning I woke up late and do not know how to get faster service. I bought a bag a day before nine, and when I get my needs, I have not put in my purse and phone. All day I felt isolated. As if there was something missing in me.

I suppose there are many people who don't feel comfortable if they don't have the mobile phone with them all the time, and I think it's more than a necessity,it's an addiction, since very few of us can imagine living without mobile phones or computers.I also feel uncomfortable if I don't have the phone with me,so I think it's normal to feel that way,but there are moments when I enjoy to turn it off and take a break from communications and I detach myself from it for a while.Sometimes it's good to go somewhere in nature and enjoy the view without being bothered.

Well, if you had gone through the horrible experience I did with Verizon you wouldn't want to take the cell or have one. Ugh! What a fiasco! I really don't think I ever want to own another cell phone as long as I live. But when all there is is cell phones then I may have to huh? Don't know what I am going to do then.

Oh sorry to hear that from you..i might want to think that it is an isolated case though. I haven't encountered any bad experience yet with my phone so i love it! :)

This sounds like my teenage daughter. She would be devastated if she left the house without her phone. We could be twenty miles away from home and she would cry to turn back because she forgot her phone. What did we ever do without mobile phones?

I normally carry my mobile if I go out of home for 30 mts. also. Some times in a rush to office I may forget (not within 1 year time). Whenever I forget the phone, I feel so relaxed and comfortable. I just though of those days that we never had a mobile phone earlier. Also, if I find no mobile at hand, got a feel of something missing or forget.
It is right. If the wallet is not at hand, it is ok, got to some ATM and avail the cash (if card is ready with). But if mobile is not with us, we will have a fell of some calls are missing.
Thank-s

Most of the time I am more concerned of my wallet than my cellphone. I can go without cellphone in work place once in a while, and after going home seeing my inbox is flooded with messages and couple of miscalls...I don't know why but I am not a cell phone person. I am more conscious about my wallet if going to work or other places due to i need a fare everyday to ride.hehe

It is sad that we have become so paralyzed by something that people managed to live without for thousands of years before it was invented. I remember the days when cell phones were not an issue that most of us had to deal with. When I was a kid, and even for the first few years I was married, we didn't have cell phones everywhere the way we do now. We had a land-line in our house, and I remember my dad bringing home an answering machine that had a small cassette-tape in it to record messages on when someone called. We didn't have caller ID, or anything like that. If we needed to make a call while we were out, we had to find a pay-phone, or find someone in a restaurant or other business to let us use their phone for a few moments. We had no text-messaging or email. We didn't have a computer in my house until 1999, when I was working and making enough money to buy one. People just have to realize that being without their cell phone is not the end of the world. I have found the opposite to be true actually. Having no cell phone to distract you will allow you to realize things in the world around you that you would never have noticed with that cell phone attached to you like an anchor...

I was the same way when I was in China. When I first got there, I was working at a kindergarten with my niece. My boss at the university had worked it out where the school would give both of us cell phones to use so that the English speaking teachers could contact us. Well, it didn't take long for me to start using it to talk to everyone that I knew in the area. When I started teaching at the university in October, I gave my number to a lot of my students. I would also get calls from my boss and other people wanting me to work. I had to leave China Jan 2 for medical reasons and I left my cell phone with my nephew since he didn't have one and it is important that people be able to contact him. I don't know if I will get a cell phone in the near future, but if I get a car, it might be a good idea. I can use the phone in my motel room for local calls, but if I start venturing out, that might not be good enough. Thanks for bringing up the topic!

I can't leave the house without my cell phone either. It is my way of communicating with my family and friends. I talk to my daughter everyday, since she lives far away from me, and if I didn't have my phone to talk to her, I would be so lost. I also have a friend that will text me once in awhile, so I do text her back. I don't know how I ever did without a cell phone for so long. I had a landline up until 2008, as I didn't want to pay for a cell phone and a landline. I am really enjoying my cell phone, and I wouldn't want to be without it. Take care, and have a very good day.

It's so horrible to have the need to be tethered to it, isn't it? I can't leave home without mine either. Besides the fact that cell phones are so expensive, people think that they have to be in touch with the world at all times.
I can't wait until my contract with Verizon is up. Of course, since my wife is due next month, I do have to have my phone on me in case she needs me. But when my contract ends, I'm getting a Tracphone and Skype, and only those who I can actually help in an emergency will have my cell number.
Or so that's my plan.

Cell phones are an important part of our society today and almost all of the people I know could not live without it. Heck, I cant live without a phone as well! It is my best friend when I have no one to talk to but the person on the other end of the line. Without it, everyone I know would be mad at me for not talking to them, especially HER. hahah. But if you are in a country like mine, everyday you would bring your phone, you would wish that you just left your phone rather than let it be the sacrifice to those crooks outsmarting even the wisest. haha.

I'm the other way. I put mine down somewhere. Then I don't hear it. Later I get harangued for not answer it by wife, friends etc... I do like my phone though. It does email, internet etc. Love it. I just always have it close at hand!
