God to not want long term ruling by one person who is not honest to use country's property. Present President of Egypt is belongs to property valued $700,000 which he earned within 30 years of his occupation. At the present situation of the world people want democracy where there is bad ruler ruling the country. So people of Egypt want democracy and for this they are sacrificing their lives. Tunisian leader fled away to other country with huge gold and cash (shame shame). So where the ruler possessing country's property illegally should not continue to rule that country for long terms.

This is not the first time that something like this has happened in the world and it probably will not be the last time that something like this is going to happen. I really don't know what to think about it, but I do understand that their government is not a democracy as I am familiar with in my life and because of that I can sort of understand the reason for the uprising. What does make me sick about the situation is that innocent people have had to die as a result of it.

Wildlittlefan, I have some mixed feelings here. As a Christian, I believe things will get worse because I believe in an End Times and that they are now. Although I believe that things will get worse, I still hope things get better. I am pro Israel and yet I've had Egyptian friends in the past, one who gave me my nickname. So to me, this Egyptian crisis is a little scary. I part from many people because I feel that there are times when it can be good to have a King or dictator. (That's what makes ant and bee colonies so successful.) If it weren't for the boycotts against Cuba, I think Castro's Cuba would do good for itself. The problem is when you have a dictator or King who only looks out for his friends while the poor and others suffer. I feel the Egyptian Mubarak could have avoided this in a small way by looking out for his people. There could have been better employment situations in Egypt also. Just like in America I think the employment situation can be better. But that can't all be blamed on the ruler.
What I see is that if Mubarak leaves and Egypt's new leadership makes it more anti American, then that poses a threat to Israel which I am against at all costs. I also see that those who hate President Obama, will hate him no matter what he does, this is what "I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw him" means. I feel he should do what he's doing and talk to the other world leaders. It is wise to sit back and get a good look at the situation and all the scenarios. Some people want him to act too fast. This reminds me of Hannibal when he marched on Rome. Rome had two generals who took turns every six months. One General, The Delayer, waited to see what Hannibal would do. The Delayer waited so he could get the high ground. Many people in Rome were upset at the Delayer's tactics. When the six months were over, the other Roman general took over. He went and attacked Hannibal and of course was massacred. Sometimes, a leader has to be a leader and not do what the majority wants. He must be wise and make wise choices.

I have a lot of respect for the people of the country who are stepping up and saying they will not tolerate the corruption. there was a news story about a group of people who linked arms and would not allow looters into the museum of antiquities. I really do not feel like there are enough people in my country that care about the culture of the land to try and preserve its history.

In any country the opinion of the majority of people must be taken to consideration since the governance is only for the people.Hence the president must act in such a way for the restoration peace to Egypt.

We've been through with this kind of situation in 1998. And my thought thing like this happen whenever a government of a country can't provide the needs of their people, and the same regime had stayed too long. I hope for the best for the people in Egypt, they're only demand for a better life.

I think that the Egyptian people could no longer stand tyranny and decided to take action,so we have a revolution in Egypt now like it was in my country more than 20 years ago;unfortunately, lives have already been lost and I think there will be more bloodshed, which is very sad,but I hope the sacrifices made by the Egyptians won't be in vain.A change is inevitable because no dictator can opress his people endlessly.I hope that the authorities will understand that they cannot keep an entire nation under control forever and give up power as soon as possible.
