Why are we superbeings?

With respect to religion, humans are said to be created in God's own image and likeness and that they are gifted with freewill and intellect. This is what makes us human beings different from animals as the Bible would say. Because we are created in God's own image and likeness, for one, we look different. Secondly, we are capable of thinking, feeling and deciding. We are also gifted with instinct like those in animals but the difference is that we don't rely on instincts alone. We rely on our intellect most of the time and we often think long term. We want to survive because we want to live unlike animals that struggle to survive in order to propagate their species. Lastly, we're different from animals according to the Bible because God has given our parents names. With this gesture of God, he made Adam and Eve the stewards of creation which made them special among all His other creations. Biologically speaking, human beings are considered the highest form of animals because their patterns of judgment and perception are different from those of the lower forms of animals. This is because the human brain is a lot more complex. The mechanisms of the human brain enable a human being to think. Our brains have spaces for memory and learning which animals do not have. I believe that is the main reason why human beings are called the highest form of animals from the biological standpoint.

I think we are all animals but we are of the highest form created by God. Animals also think, sleep, dream, love, and so on... We are the upgraded ones. We think for the best, we sleep for a purpose, we dream sweet thoughts and think of it when we wake up, and most of all, we love truly and deeply.

I"m thinking ego....

Well, I'd say that we have about 3 things that make us stand out from the animals, in ways that have helped us get to this point. The first, and probably the first to come, is our opposed thumbs, making it so that we can hold onto things, only really seen otherwise, in the populations of monkeys that we evolved from. The second part, is our walking upright, making it much easier to carry things from one place to another, and keep ourselves more prepared, and the 3rd being how big our brains are. Way bigger then any other animal, that allows us to plan and prepare, and also gives way to communication, art, adaptation, and so many other things. But, we are not at the top in so many ways. We do not have the best breathing abilities, or swimming, or running, or seeing, or hearing, or tasting, or smelling, or strength, or agility, or the ability to fly, or tunnel underground... for our mass, we're one of the weakest creatures on the planet. In all of these natural kind of directions, we are so low on the scale... but, we can out-think any other animal out there, and that's whats gotten us to the point we're at, now.

There is no difference. We just have more capabilities.

We are not really super beings because all we do is destroy we are no different from any other animal no wait we are worse. If human wanted too, they would have saved the earth a long time ago. Do you know that humans have known how to build an electric car for more than 10 year now.

hello kirtricks, What makes us superbings is we can think and rationlize a problem and get it solved.We can read and wwe have free will too as well as we can do math and create items and ships, planes, trains, spaceships. We can shop and go online and I have not seen a monkey yet navigate the computer. Yes, I seen the picture of the ape standing upright but I have wonder was that a setup from somebody online to think the Apes can walk on only there two legs now. Thanks and have a great day! Well, I don't think we are by any means superior to anyone! God created us just like he created the other creatures which means that, we are all the same as the other creatures living around us! We look at the other creatures as the animal, who knows, may be we look like animals to the other creatures! We can argue about the speech, but just like we have different languages to speak, the other animals also might have different language, or something different that we might not understand! We can say about the sixth sense, but recently it is proved that animals too have the sixth sense! We can't conclude on anything and claim ourselves superior because we actually never know the world of the animals! And we can't even judge it on the basis of the assumptions! Well, as the saying goes, humans are the social animals! We live in the city and they live in the jungle! Well, thats the only difference I see! Good Luck!

It is only our race which has the capacity to protect, and unfortunately, destroy all the other creatures and natural treasures that we have in this world. We have the power to dictate which animals are gonna be our food, extinct, pets, and all other manipulation.
