Hello friends
The past week happening in Egypt is worrying everybody. A population subjected to repression coupled with not so much of development economically uprising for a regime change. However , the embattled President Hosni Mubarak is not in a mood to see the reality. The military , the bulwark of the President though deployed in all the sensitive areas of Cairo, is capable of playing a decisive role in the ongoing standoff , to clash with the opposition.
The aspiration of the Egytian people for the change of guard is well deserved and every right thinking person should support the people of Egypt in their effort to have a Democratically elected Government in Egypt.

Tunisia was first to surprise the worldq they call this an ignition switch to events that may spread all over the Arab world. Many years the West has supported oppresive regimes only because their leaders promised to keep a curb on the islamists. But we don't know fo sure how big is this threat. Amd I agree with you, Samaritan, that Egyptians deserve a support.

They do deserve our support. But what does that really mean? In today's world, we can communicate with people around the world, but what can you and I do to truly affect the situation? Not much.

I've been watching this. It's really easy to say that everyone should support the people against this awful President, but Bill O'Reilly brought up a good point. If Mubarak is removed, who steps in? The area is a stronghold of terrorists, who may actually be instigating the problem to get him out. It looks to me like the Egyptians are in trouble either way, and the rest of us will be, too, if the terrorists have their way.

That's a good point, who steps in? You can't have the kids in a household rebel and then take over.
