I don't want to miss a minute...

I live 1500 miles away from my family, and my Mom & Dad recently sent me the sweetest gift. They sent me a Flip video camera so that I could easily record, upload, and e-mail video clips of my girls. It was an awesome gift, and I'm loving using it. It's definitely a convenient way to capture the silly things my kids do everyday. No bigger than the average cell phone, it's easy to tote along in my purse, and it's much easier to use than the video camera feature on my phone.
As I've begun to use this I've really realaized how quickly my girls are growing and how important it is to me to preserve our memories of them being little. I really don't want to miss (or forget) a minute of their lives. With my new Flip I don't have to & my family who lives so far away can share in the fun too!
Anyway, I've found that this is a really great gadget for me in my role as "mommy." Has anyone else used one or something similar to capture your daily adventures? I'd love to hear about it!

Although I don't have a video camera to record the simple moments in my children's lives, I have taken thousands of pictures in the time since my daughter and then my son was born. Just after my son was born, I started digital scrapbooking and I've been keeping a journal of the children's lives in this way. My intention is to have them printed up for the children to be able to carry forward with them as they come closer to age in their lives.

I love scrapbooking. I've never tried digital scrapbooking though. Mabe I should...it seems like it would be a little less time consuming. Do you reccommend any particular software?
It's great that you've been able to keep up with it for your chuldren. One day they'll really appreciate it.

I take lots of pictures too! I really try to capture as much of my girls' lives as I can. They're only going to be little once. I'm so thankful for technology that helps us remember it forever.
