I like the convenience of shopping at walmart, especially the super centers. I can do my grocery shopping, along with pick up other things I need in one stop. I value that ability now that I have a child. getting her in and out of the car to stop many different places is a nuisance.
My normal list includes a mixture of name brand and store brand groceries. I always check the toiletries to see if we are running low, along with the diaper and wipe supplies. I do the other shopping first, because alot of times I have frozen food on my list.
Shopping at Wal-mart gives me the most bang for my buck.

The Wal-mart that I normally go is right next to stop&shop(food market), so I would do both in one trip.

I do little shopping at walmart. Ive had trouble returning damaged large items like a rug shampooer in particular. So i will not buy big items there anymore. Just little things. Mostly parishable groceries coz i work right next door to it and it convient to buy there.

I have returned before, and I have to say Target and Kohl's are the two best stores for returning things. Pretty much no questions asked!
My return was with no receipt of some jeans. I knew I had it, just couldn't find it. So I pulled my credit card statement and showed them that it was on my credit card, but since I didn't have a receipt, they only gave me a store gift card. She said that if I find the receipt I could bring that back in with the gift card and they would redeem it for the cash. Of course, I went home and that day, found the receipt. Took it back in and of course...no, they don't do that. I argued, asked for manager and showed them the girl that said i could do that, she of course denied saying that so I was stuck with $50 to spend at Walmart. I don't shop there that much as it really isn't all the "on my way" like Target is. So I bought groceries with it and didn't go back for about a year...at christmas time!

I dont know where you are but im in denver colorado. I bought a carpet shampooer. It was about 2months old when the stopper on the soap tank broke after just one use. I tried to take it back and they tell me i had to ship it to the manufacturer. The shampooer was around $350. so i was quite upset. I called around some shops to see if the could fix it. I found two different shops that sent for the replacement tank. At this poinbt i didnt even want the thing. It was still under warrenty so i didnt have to pay for anything. I collected the two tanks and then gave the whole thing to my daughter. I bought a orek which i found out about while getting the tank replaced. My daughter was happy about the shampooer since she has 3 kids. She didnt hasve it long before sonmething else happen to it.
Anyway that bad experience just made me not to buy expensive junk at walmart. Since they sold it but couldnt honor the warrenty. I would understand shipping it to the manufacturer if i had ordered it from them but i didnt i bought it from walmart. Just my opinion but if they cant honor the warrenty they shouldnt sell it. I buy big expensive items from sams club or costco. They do honor warrenty.

I am rather ambilevent about Walmart. I do most of my food shopping at the Superstore and do much of my household shopping at either Zellers or Home Outfitters, and get some at second hand stores. But I cannot afford a very good bookcase, so with basic furniture like bookcases, and stands, I go to Walmart. We are going to have a grocery fresh produce section in our Walmart but do not think it would compete against oir big box Superstore. So somethings are good, but somethings afre bad. Not every price there is the cheapest and not every thing you buy there is of good quality. You really have to look.

You really have to watch. I usually shop at Superstore, because we do not have the Walmart with the grocery section here yet. And wes comparing prices, and in some cases our Superstore is cheaper. But I did get a couple of bookcases, and even though the backs were made out of cardboard, the shelves were able to hold all my books. Of course you had to put them against the wall, but it is much better then me having to pay twice as much at an office supply store.
But I would not buy a computer or a printer there. I would go to Best Buy or our regular office store or order on line.

What they have is basically no different that things every other store has. Made in China and other places...it is all over. Seldom do you find a Made in USA anymore. So might as well buy it cheap as you can, when you can.
My problem with Walmart is that they are not very friendly. I first, hate walking in the store and being pounced on by a senior citizen (no offense..would be with any person they hire to do this job) as I walk in the door and all but getting frisked for any in-coming packages (air ports got nothin' on Walmart!) and if I have one, being shoved to the side and forces to wait while they put stickers on the item and then push me to the return desk. And when I leave, I am stopped by a senior citizen and required to show my sale slip that I have already dropped into my purse and have my hands full with bags and have to dig out and all they do is look at it..and wouldn't know if I have a stolen item in the bags or not so why bother "checking", it just wastes my time.
Never can you find a sale person on the floor to ask for help or price, since they don't individually price things now, just on the shelf and just cause it is on the shelf saying this price, doesn't mean it is that price!
Then I hate having to cart my bags instead of watching what they are ringing up to make sure the price is right cause if I don't the cashier gets nasty when all the bags are full on the wheel and I have not removed them to my cart yet and there are still more things to be rung up
And last...I know Walmart can't necessarily do anything about it but I hate all the beggers at the door asking for donations to/for everything from diapers for their baby to help for kids in a far away place.
Needless to say, I don't hang around walmart to often!

That's how I look at it to. Shame, isn't it? That a company that huge only has customers shopping cause of the price, not the customer service or cause they like the store? But then again...since that is the way it is, guess they got the corner on the market! It hasn't hurt their sales.

No... their sale service is not good at all I have to say; one time I asked for help something, the sale lady said nothing but only pointed me the direction, turned aroudn and left; the cashier is not particularly nice either...
But I buy their cheapies not their services so...

I shop at Wal-Mart. I love their jeans. They don't cost a fortune. They last forever and I get some lovely soft ones there. Yes, most items are made in China or other countries; unfortunately, that is also the case with Macy's, JC Penny's, Sears, and most other stores at this time.
I went online looking for jeans made in the USA and found three places. They cost a fortune and only one of them supplied women's jeans.
I love to buy dishes at Walmart because they don't cost a fortune and I can change the whole look of my table often.
Most of all, I buy because of two reasons: they are not union labor and they are a huge employer of older people, giving them a chance to still feel useful. Unions once played an important part in getting decent pay for people. Now, they are little more than greedy leaders who are destroying states and companies because no matter how deep in debt states or companies are, the unions are not willing to give one iota. Then people get fired because money has to be saved somewhere. The leaders of unions spend the money without caring what the members might want. And like it or not, there are goons running most of them.

I never bought any clothes on Wal-mart, I just wonder if their material is fair or not, I don't like the clothes to get stretchy or shrink easily.

Their clothes usually last longer than the super expensive name brands. I have three pairs of jeans and wear jeans every day, which means they get washed a minimum of twice a week. It's been three years and they still hold up and look good.

I happen to love wal-mart. Compared to some other stores like Target they are cheaper. But it's not just that. Their clearenced clothes are better. They have more style and taste. Plus they have decent sales in store and online. Wal-mart is my favorite place to go. I'd even work there if they'd hire me.

I think that wal-mart is one of my best friends. I really like shopping there. I usually get some food items there, but also household stuff and toys and movies for the kids. We do have a cheaper grocery store we go to as well but I like wal-mart. We also get our dog food there as it is cheaper than anywhere else and the dogs like it. The very often have really good sales. But if you do not have alot of money like me then it is a good place to shop.

We don't have many shopping choices in the area I live in. Walmart is a big shopping choice. If you are looking for someone, you'll probably find them at Walmart. The shopping is convenient and the prices are reasonaable. Seeing a friend or two doesn't hurt either.

I am a huge fan of Wal-Mart. There are just so many good deals there. There are many people that consider it low rent, but really, they just have no aptitude about saving money. It does tend to be a bit of trek out there to Wal-mart and in the winter when I am marooned because of all of the snow and ice, it is not worth it.
Still there are times where I have done grocery shopping there for only a fraction of the price. The only thing I wish is if there was a Wal-mart a bit closer to my house but really, I don't know where they would put it. Plus DVDs, clothes, electronics, some good deals if you know where to look. So really I am a huge fan of Wal-mart. It is truly an awesome place to shop.

I do shop at walmart for some things that I need. Like bath products that are much cheaper at walmart than at the grocery store. I sometime also get packaged grocery items at walmart when they are cheaper. I will not buy any meat at walmart due to a bad experience years ago. I do also get toys and movies at walmart. I do buy fabric at walmart as it is a lot closer than any craft stores in my area. If I have the time I will drive to Target as I like shopping there better than walmart. The walmart close to my house is always busy and the shoppers can be rude that is why I prefer to go to Target.

i am probably one of those that things are so cheap that it is good to shop there. i don't dislike or like it. i don't shop there often, usually twice a month. they have the same products as other stores and they are cheaper, so why not shop at walmart.

I came across a joke at some point.
On the first day that God created the world, out of the darkness, he made light.
On the second day...
And so on...
On the seventh day, he rested. And everything else was made in China.
I think Wal-mart is an awesome place to be. I get EVERYTHING from them.

I do buy items from Walmart, not very often though. When I do go, I primarily buy things like toothpaste, organic fruit & vegetables, sock, underwear, charcoal lol I do check labels regardless of which store I shop. I only buy goods made/grown in the US and if there is a local product, I purchase it.
