Do you ever use words or phrases that you made up?

For years now every now and then I use phrases and words that I made up. I guess I will review my made up words and phrases. These are copyrighted LOL.
When it is hot I say for example: It is hot tamales in here.
When something is delicious I say this is delishone , don't know how that would be spelled since it is made up.
Just before I take a shower I sometimes say the Power of a Shower.
I think that's all of them. That's all I can think of right now.
Do you sometimes say words or phrases that you've made up? or What do you think of this discussion?

Thank you for commenting. I know some people that say words all the time from movies too. It sounds pretty cool. They make people laugh too, because they are usually funny phrases or word. example: I will be back. Have a good day!

When i was in high school, my friends and i used to have our own fun making up words and phrases. Nobody ever knew what we were talking about. That's what part of the fun of it. I miss those days sometimes!@margeryann (1845)

hi margeryann, I dont use a phrase but one word used most now a days is " Du kya?" Its a hindi word and it means, "should i give" Its like anything happens, any joke or someone hiding something, i say " du kya" and my friends say "give". My response is, "what do you want a kick, slap or kiss".
And the conversation end with a hug laugh.

Good morning, i use alot of old sayings & i'm sure i have masde up some as i have gone alone.Guess it's too early in the morning for me to think of any of them right now, lol. I think your discussion is just fine.

Haha ya i do have many such phrases and words that i made up myself. Its cool making such phrases as long as people understand them but if you make a phrase that nobody can understand or people have to ask you like, hey dude whats the meaning of what you said just, its a bad creativity. :)

It does take creativity or just it pops into your head , but it definitely needs to make since. Will you tell me some of the words or phrases that you made up. It might be interesting. i do that alot too lol i think i made up this word " i dunno" meaning i dont know
i just started typing it one day i dunno it may be a real word but i doubt it lol
i have alot of things i say that my husband has never heard too.. like we call a buggy in a grocery store a cart and i call tomato a mater lol and a poke is a bag
or sac... a stove burner is called an eye in my language lol my husband says i have a language all of my own .. i guess so lol..

Thank you for commenting! It is neat how made up words come to us. Some people do get real surprised by the made up words or phrases. Have your kids picked up on your made up words or phrases. My son sometimes surprises me with them. You never know our made up words or phrases might become a family thing. Have a good day!

sometimes i use made up words/phrases. it is fun for people to make up words and phrases and is creative. it adds some humor. i don't try to make up words and phrases on purpose, but when i do i do and i sometimes start to use the word/phrase i made up all the time.

Thank you for commenting. I don't purposely make them up either. They just came to me over the years and I continued to use them. My 9 year old son sometimes will surprise me by saying them.You never know the ones I made up might become a family thing LOL. What ones have you used if you don't mind sharing. Have a good week!
