Do you eat what you don't like?

Many would like to explore their options in terms of food. Most of them visit different food houses that offer a variety of food that is new to them. At times, as we read their menu, their are so much to choose from but of course you can not eat them all at the same time so you only have to pick one or two. The excitement to have the first bite of it will always be there, but as it enters your mouth and you don't like the taste, what will you do? Maybe some would complain while some might just not eat it, pay for it, then leave. As for me, I do a lot of complaining especially in terms of the taste. I do not give so much attention to the presentation but at times that i am faced with this kind of a situation, i still consume it all. I may not like the taste but i have the greatest respect for food no matter what kind of a recipe it is as long as it is clean and would not harm me. Even if it really taste bad, i would still eat it but i may not ask for it again.

jhaidro as I never order any foods that I dislike if the food comes and it tastes bad I will complain as I refuse to pay for bad food. I will not eat it if it does not taste like it is supposed to at all. When you are paying good money for something you should get your moneys's worth always. food is meant to be eate b ut bad food should not be eaten at all.If it tastes really bad believe me it has something wrong with it. 'send it back and ask for a different meal or your money back.

I understand your point Hatley. However, as you go over their menus and see the pictures of the food they offer, it is somewhat deceiving in a way. For some reasons, the food they show is not exactly how it looks as they serve it. And given the fact that most of the food establishments are adapting different recipes from other countries, they are a lot of different tastes that may tickle your palate in a good way or otherwise. Maybe it is a good thing to be open to so many different kinds of taste and preparations as far as food is concerned. It would be sad to see people going out of restaurants disappointed. I mean it is food. The person behind its preparation loves it but does not necessarily mean we would feel the same. Hey, it could happen to them at some point. Lets just enjoy the food on the plate for us.

Yes, I also eat what I d not like. My parents taught me not to be so choosy or picky in eating, we are lucky to still have something to eat. But sometimes I still complain (like you), but still eat it. And like you, I respect the food too and give importance to it- so I still finish it.

I never up size my drinks r food- since I know that I can't even finish it . I also pity those little children that can't eat everyday. If I want to give some food to one of them though, all of them will crowd around me and I can't really give food to all of them- if only I was rich.

It is like every time I eat out. When asked if I wanted to up size my drink and other stuff, I always say yes but at times end up not finishing it and I just live it in the table and let the waiter clean it up. As I go out, I see this kids asking for food. You really can see them so hungry and not have anything and there you are throwing things away. Shame that we get to be in these situations.

Well, when it comes to food, I just can't help but become curious on how it would taste like. Sometimes curiosity just takes over. Even on a tight budget but upon seeing a dish new to me, I just want to give it a try.

I hate eating food that I don't like to, but there are some circumstances that I really need to eat the food that I don't usually eat. When I open my mouth I don't breathe to not taste the food and I chew it faster more that I chew the usual food.

We just have to do things to survive. I just get confused thou on how different food can be. In every county, there will always be a national dish. On how they are prepared, well it is very different. How do food critics say that it is a good dish or not? People have different preferences on their food. I may like Mexican food but not Japanese food. I love to eat but I think it is hard to say if it is a good meal or not given the variety of food that is present now being serve all over.

If I'm at a restaurant, then absolutely I finish my mean even if I don't like it. I don't like wasting food, but more importantly, I don't like wasting money. However, at home, I'm a very picky eater and if I don't like it, I don't eat it.

Food at restaurants really are a bit expensive. You will spend so much for something so little. Do people really get satisfied with the little amount they consume from expensive food houses? Maybe for the pleasure of eating something that tastes nice but is it really enough to sustain your body's activity? It may or it may not but maybe it would just depend on the person eating it. I just hope that the food that taste so good would not cost so much.
