A friend of mine was over and we got talking about our teachers. We sat there naming all the teachers that were in each grade. Each grade had four teachers. It took us awhile to think of some of them but we did good and finally after awhile we named all the teachers. It was actually pretty fun. Dont make a list on here of the teachers names as I dont want that lol but I just wondered if you sat and thought about it if you could remember all your teachers names throughout your school years?

I can honestly say i can't remember all of my teacgers' names throughout my school years. I do remember the ones who gave me the most drama and the ones who gave me joy. Learning from some teachers was a pleasant experience while other teachers were sometimes a chore.

Same here, I can't remember all the names as well, I remember what some of them looked like but can't put a name to their faces. Indeed some teachers just make a better impression than others

Haha well my friend and I had a few drinks but nothing much. I love to talk to him because he actually talks where my ex would just tell me to shut up that I was bothering him. When this converstation was going on I was giving my friend a very long back massage. I didnt go to college so I didnt have all those teachers to remember but my elementary school and high school teachers.

Now that this discussion has come up and I sat mulling this over, I must say that yes, I do remember the names of those teachers whom I can actually remember LOL that is to say, I cant really remember everything about who taught what and in which class!!! The names are just popping up sporadically in my mind... mainly those are of teachers whom I liked or hated LOL... other than that, I cant actually remember everybody for all those years.

It is interesting how many people have written that it got them thinking when they read my discussion. I did even better then my friend when we were coming up with all the teachers names. I have a really weird memory like that. That makes sense that you mainly remember the teachers you really liked or the ones you really hated lol. I've had plenty of each... mostly ones I hated. I had a huge problem with authority.

I had to think awhile about this but after racking my brain for a bit I can honestly say that I do not remember each and every teacher I've ever had. I recall a lot of them but there's still a few missing for my elementary and junior high school years. And I'm not even going to go there for my college years. I honestly can't remember any of my professors off the top of my head. Maybe if I sat down and thought about it a few will surface.

So far I havent had one single person tell me that they could remember all there professors names in college. That is something pretty interesting. I wonder why that is. I didnt go to college so I dont know if I had if I would remember all of them. I think I would though. I usually dont forget anyones names and if I could picture the classes I was sitting in I would be able to come up with the teachers names I think at least.

I seriously couldn't remember all my teachers growing up! Recently, I came into contact with some of my friends in high school, through facebook. And by going through some of their pictures, I even found our high school yearbook page. And if it weren't for the pictures, I wouldn't even remember our homeroom teacher, let alone what she looked like.

Wow how interesting that you couldnt even remember your homeroom teacher or what she looked like lol. Thats good you had the yearbook to look through to jog your memory. I got to thinking right now that students who changed schools a lot probably would have the hardest time remembering all the different teachers. I never changed schools.

In my opinion whether you remember their names is not the most important thing.I remember all their faces and what they taught me.All the stuff that i have been taught not only about subjects, but about life, about behavior and so one. They are the only without which i wouldn't be able to write here in mylot and have discussions with so many people.

Well that is true. I just wondered if other people would be able to remember all their teachers like I could just out of curiosity. It got a lot of people thinking about it on here. I thought that was pretty cool to help job peoples memories. I didnt learn all that much at school. I hated school.

Hi shaggin, when meeting old classmates and taking drinks at the coffee outlet we have lots of funny old stories and experiences to chat about. talking about our former teaches in different grades of course is one of our interesting chitchat topics for sure. The names of those responsible teachers who did very well in the class, like giving explanation with the adding of fantastic stories, humorous speaking and acting, etc would never fade from our mind. We can't remember the names of a few teachers whom we disliked during different grades as well. A couple of them were really awful and would punish our classmates violently and bruise was left sometimes even. One was rather irresponsible and we felt drowsy listening to his dull reading on the textbook only. we can remember those unique and funny addresses like King Kong, Salty fish which were nicknamed by our mischievous classmates only lol..... Happy posting

I do Remember all my Elementary school teacher names, but getting into middle school and high school i probably cant remember all of them but i do remmeber most of them. I had 7 periods each day in High School so that would be 7 new teachers each year and then in Middle School there was i believe 7 as well and that would 7 new teachers in middle school each year as well. Its hard to remember them all but i believe i could do pretty good remembering most of them. I really liked school and of course some teachers stood out more than others but im sure everyone had that.

Maybe because our school was small is why I am easily able to remember all the teachers names over the years. In the high school we to had the 7 different periods with different teachers for each class and grade. I still somehow remember them all lol. I have a weird memory though for things like that. Like I always remember everyones birthdays as well.

Hi Shaggin, Yes, I do remember quite a lot of the teachers and especially those from my school. The ones at college never interested me and so I miss out on most of them. To be honest I remember quite all of the ones from the school who taught me. Some for their goodness and greatness as teachers and some as they seemed like bullies to me

Hi Shaggin, your question is great that makes me think back then. My age now is 40+ but I remember most of my elementary and high school teachers maybe because of small community but my professor in college I almost forgot them [em]laughs[em].

Well I can remember my teacher's names during elementary and high school but not with college. Maybe because we have different teachers every semester. I can only remember my college teachers who have been close to me, those who've helped us do the best for ourselves.

Yeah I can remember most almost all of them. The ones that stand out most to me is middle to high school. The teachers as well as school were fun, sad, depressing, scary, nervous, annoying, educational (sometimes depended on the teacher or school), repetitive, boring, lonely, not so popular but known, petty, fickle, etc. but most memorable moments in my life.

Some teachers and professors are forgettable, but you'd always remember two kinds: the first is the sweet sort you always enjoyed coming to class to, and the other is the worst you and your seatmate would often talk about at the far end of class. I'd say these two extremes, I remember, though those in between are sort of, well... not all that memorable.

I think in my almost 12 years of studying in my entire life i would rather says that teachers that i remembered are my teachers that are really good and generous and kind. And you know during high school there is a "labeling" among the teachers in which they will get it through the teachers attitude and performance at school or inside the classroom.

To be honest, I could hardly remember most of my university teachers' names from at least a semester ago. Some of my teachers, i didn't even mind knowing the name. I got so careless and still am about my university life but I'm not proud of it. Anyway, it's different for high school and grade school teachers I guess, because I think I could remember most if not all. It's probably because I was a very attentive student way back then as compared to now.

HAHA I bet none of the teachers would ever forget me especially in high school. I was really bad to. I was always worried when my kids went to school that my children will be judged as one of the bad kids before the teachers even get to know them simply because they are my kids. I was a bad teenager but I am a good parent. LOL I dont want my kids being the way I was.
