Everybody today was surprised because of the increase in fare charge from 7 pesos to 8 pesos. Although LTFRB Chairman said that they only switch it to back to the 2008 fare hike. With this added increase will the common juan survive another day? What do you think?

Juan always makes it. Juan had always been someone who can adapt to the changes and he endures....But the way I see it, Juan will see better days in no time now...

I totally agree! We just have to have an optimistic mind. We should also learn to budget more, quitting vices will also help a lot.

Although it is just a one peso increase, at a time when everything else has gone up, it has become harder and harder to tighten our belts. I think its time that we think of switching to bikes or just walking.

the increase in the jeepney fare should be accompanied by adjustment in wages and food prices. the unfortunate thing is that food and other commodities' prices will also rise because the transportation costs have increased. retailers and capitalists are going to compensate the additional cost to the prices of their goods. and sadly, the wages remain the same in the country. thus, ordinary juan will suffer for this fare hike.
