Do you feel relieved when your comment is on the first page!??

hello! okay, so you are replying to discussions in mylot and very interesting ones at that and then lot of people also respond and your name is in the 3rd, 4th or sometimes the 7th page for some discussions and you have to scan all the way back to follow a particular topic.
So when you are one of the first few who gets to reply to an interesting discussion, do you feel good that you are on the first page and saved yourself a lot of "scanning back" work!? I recently found out the importance of doing it and almost feel it to be like an achievement! LOL

khalida well now in the scheme of life someone will always be first and someone will be last. sure we all want to be first place, but look at
it this way : there are 224, 194 people registered on mylot right now.'
some of course maybe not active.but still chances of always being of the first place is one in a thousand. so I for one do not worry about it at '
all. dont be too lazy as scanning a few pages really does not take all that long.look at how many minutes we all waste waiting for the commercials on your favorite tv program to end, so if you can waste that time you can surely scan a few pages to see your comment

Hey Hately, Awesome example haha.. if you can wait for the commercials for your favorite show then you can flip through the pages. Yeah honestly flipping through the pages to go to the last one haha.. is fast because its a number button not jusyt a next button if it was a next button that will just be annoying haha.
@Kihalida, Not everyone is going to respond to back. haha.. Even after you comment back which is a big disappointed. I think most are just keep looking for more cool discussion that are easy to respond to. Me on the other hand I like being on the first Page haha..

If it is an interesting conversation and I feel that my answer is really valuable I definitely feel better and enjoy the fact that I was among the first ones to reply,since I suppose there are users who don't have enough patience to read all the replies made to a discussion,but most of them would certainly read the first replies and so my post would be read and noticed by many people.

Hey Polaris, Yeah I think your right, Most of us do that. Also it shows as well when the first 10 respond to there discussion it seems to me that all ten get comment back the rest of them seem to get less treatment haha. less attention haha. I guess because the first page is always the one that pops up and is first and the rest are between. Also the End gets attention as well . :) First and End :)

payout: see its like this. suppose if you log in and start responding to the discussions you created, you will start with the first page and then you get some work and log off.
Again when you log in, you already have comments from people for your replies and you start answering them. so what about the other pages now? an saying this cause i noticed this trend in a discussion where mine was in the third page and he is answering everyone except me

HMmm... I don't think it matters to me; I just responds if I was the first one or even there are lots of responses already. I sometimes review others, sometimes I just say what I feel.

Yah it feels great when you are the first respondent of a specific and interested topic. Probably you found every topic interesting to you and you could easily relate to the issue.
For me, I browse the list of the topic until I come up to the topic which I know I can relate very well for the purpose of giving my best opinion that I feel. If in case I'm positioned in the last page, I still want to read all the responses and in that case, I learned from other respondents based on their shared views and opinion. That's how I enjoy in here with mylot. I love to read and know the hearts of other people. How they see things, and how they responds to it. That's the reason why I love mylot, self expression is its purpose.

no one could have told it better simpleBB. I like reading all the other people's responses when its a very interesting topic for me. In fact sometimes it gives me a lot more ideas and see things in a rather different way. I love that when i learn something! This is why my-lot rocks!

Well i don't really care about where my reply is placed.Of course if you're responded on the first place it's more easy to find your way back and track the topic.Buti don't mind those few seconds that take to scan back to my response if it isn't on the first page.

I Hey CsabiCZ, I try my best to be on the first Page Its easy to go look back to me its always the First and last page that are the easiest Everything that seems to be in between awlays seems like more work and more reading and hunting for a spefic responses to see if they wrote back because you have to remember the number (Page).
Overall I love MyLot haha

well there are not lots of tricks actually. just start your own discussions and respond to the comments you get. The threads of conversation you create, the better.
when you respond to somebody else's discussion, go back to it and check if you have got a reply. Go to the option in "discussions" which lies near "home" and select "responded". Those are the discussions you have responded to.

Hey Lutphie, welcome to Mylot, Khalida is right its nothing hard very simple just post dicussions just dont try to make a discussion a game or a poll let it be something that can start a conversation. not a poll where is more a choice.
Just be active and participate.

Hey Khalida, I know what you mean sometimes our best discussions have page after page. And going t through all these pages can get annoying after awhile and you just dont want to comment back.
I recently had a discussion like that 4-5 days ago I usually dont get tired and read each responses and if I can I will comment back if it can be comment back .
I know some of us just do the first page. There was a discussion about that as well. and it was about people not commenting back but, if its too many try your best. sometimes I will only do the first page if I wake up and find 10+ more responses and I will sometimes just do the ten and it can be any page haha.
Doing all of them is a Achievement especially when you have 3+ pages haha. So much typing and reading. But hey we get paid for our participation. :)

well you know what? i have not been starting too many discussions and before i never used to get back responding to everyone. Now that i enjoy doing that i try my best to search back
i know it can be quite annoying sometimes specially when you have to wait for a reply on somebody else's discussion!?
I would love to read and comment even if there are more pages on the topic i like most which i am yet to start as a discussion once i figure it out or try to pen it down here

It can be a good feeling to be the first responder. You don't ever have to worry that you may repeat another person's thoughts. Everyone now will be following after you.
