A few months ago I took an off-line job, which turned out to be a scam.Afterwords I had someone tell me that before I had started the job I should of googled them on the internet.Well, what good does that do.Anyone can type anything. There are the sites that allow people to tell about businesses and people that have scammed them.
I have known people that have personally said to me,don't work for them,if you don't sell a certain amount of products in a certain amount of time they let you go,that business is running a scam! And I then explain to them that not is a scam and tell them what one is.If people get online and say this place is a scam and people read it and believe it because it was on this reputable site.
About 4 years ago I was going to do some business with a company in another state.I checked them out, finding that they were members of the BBB,a business liscense,a physical address, references and they still ripped me off for over a thousand dollars! Then all of the sudden on the internet a number of other people are saying that they lost money from them.
Let's say I am working for a company, start dating the owner,we have a bad break up.I can be mad enough to tell on the internet how bad his business is,even if it isn't really.
Do you trust the internet?

at least we know that we should always be on guard when dealing through the internet. it is good that there are people who warn others to avoid some sites because they might have been victims of such sites. it is quite difficult to know whether one is legitimate or scam, that's why it is very important to research and ask people's opinions and views on some sites that seem to be fishy enough. in my case, i do some research to put my trust on certain sites.

Well, that one place that ripped me off wasn't on the internet and neither was the job. Also,in the 80's I got a job in an office and worked 2 days. When I went back on the third day, they were gone!

I am talking about trusting the site's that have all the scam reports on them about any business on or off line.

When it comes to offline business you can look them up sure, but I wouldn't take it all to be 100% truth or lies. Just use it for your own actual research and to see for yourself what others say or whats online about them as a company in general. Without knowing what kind of work it was exactly makes it difficult in commenting about them ripping you off. But surely if you can show you are owed money then you can do something about it since you should have all the info, business name, address, owners name and so on.
As for do 'I trust the internet' the answer is 'kind of.' Sure you can find alot of truth out but at the same time you can read downright lies at the same time. If I want to know something for sure I take other approaches to look into it.
I personally wouldnt let them away with ripping you off though, fight for it, and when it comes to working offline you should always try to get a contract and have someone who knows more about law etc to take a quick look at it if you aren't sure about the contract.

Well I do believe on Internet to a certain extent.I know there are a lot of scam businesses out there. But I think the first thing to consider is that you have to know what you're getting yourself into before you jump in,as tempting as that may be after you've come across a very persuasive sales letter about an online business.Read each word on the sales page very carefully, and several times over.Look for return policies, disclaimers, terms of service, guarantees, and testimonials.Honest money making businesses will have these available to you,not to mention they will offer and provide outstanding customer service and support and see you through to success.
