Today is Chinese lunar New Year, and Chinese are enjoying the happy festival atmosphere. Every Chinese, no matter where we are, our heart are all with our family and motherland. Here I wish you a happy New Year! Also I would like to know mylot friends, when and how do you celebrate a coming new year? We have a traditional Chinese food called dumplings for New Year, and this kind of food has a literary quotation. It is said to be created by medical sage Zhang zhongjing, and its early function is to protect people from frostbite. But now it has become one of the most delicious food. Do you have a food with a good story?

I hail from South India and I belong to priestly class called Brahmins. We are strict vegetarians and do not take eggs as we consider it as non vegetarian.Let us not get into the controversial subject like what is vegetarin food and nonvegetarian food.Even in South India there are anumber of foods particulrly vegetarian. On festivals we prepare only vegetarian food and offer to God.In fact there are many Gods in Hinduism and there are festivals for each God.We believe in community gathering and community eating on festive occasions and we also share the prepared sweets in the house with others. All are tasty foods only to our tongue. This page is not enough to describe them.We all relish chinese noodles ...

Oh Yes, Happy Chinese New Year everyone! I am not a chinese and I won't be celebrating it. I used to celebrate it and even do some rituals before the event, but I am a Christian and believe with what God planned for me and not to rely on those lucky charms. No offense meant to the Chinese. Besides, I have many Chinese friends.
