Hello all, how the Lunar New Year celebrations in your place ? I'm guess, Lunar New Year celebrations at your place marred rain or at least there are rain clouds, that's right ?
Have you ever wondered why in every Lunar New Year is always marred the rain ? my friends who celebrate Chinese/ Lunar New Year explain that the rain was a sign of good fortune. So, if heavy rain fell during Lunar New Year, it symbolizes a lot of luck at next year. And, indeed usually every Lunar New Year is almost always marred the rain ....
Rain luck omen. More heavy rain that's means more luck ... This sounds a bit strange, in fact, the more heavy rain that fell, that was sign that will flood ....

I think because lunar calender usually used by farmer to their guidance when start farming. My grandpa also a farmer and she do all his farming base on lunar calender. But this weather anomaly make any thing seem in predictable but after Chinese new year in my area its really hot and the rain stop.
So I think thats rain in lunar new year give good luck at last. I just hope its won't all years dry season which I think made our farmer in big trouble if they don't have proper irrigation.

hi advokatku oddly I live in Little Saigon right int he heartof Garden Grove california. My friend Nelda stopped by to take me to my bank and then to get a few things.we ran into a huge crowd in the mall. , a multitude of cars and we realized the mall was all decked out in christmas type lights and a huge sign read Happy Holiday . we remmembered its Chinese New Years and also Vietnamese tet holiday., the traffic was so snarled with all the cars we decided to just bring me home and I will shop another day. My friend has some vision problems and should not be driving much at night anyway. There are also a large number of Chinese living here too as well as Vietnamese. they all really make great neighbors as they are well mannered , courteous and friendly too. in fact I have only seen two police cars in this neighborhood around Gold Crest and they were for our center. As two residents had come up missing and the admins were afraid they were lost. One was senile, and the other was bi polar so they were at risk. we have only one elderly vietnamese residen here as Vietnamese people will always take their parents into their own homes.
unlike a lot of us Americans which we should be ashamed of that.

hi..... because the lunar new year is in the rainy month such as january, february, or december. if it is in dry month such as in august, july or june maybe there is not rain. but nowdays there is no different between rainy months or dry months. it is because of global warming.
