When I was a student one of the things that really got to me was the cost of college, tuition, meal plans (really bad food), all of the little fees, and whats' worse those da** textbooks! (most of which I never even opened!)
Anyway, I was looking for a way to find cheap textbooks and when I couldn't find a good site that let me find discount books I decided to found one. I founded http://www.wecomparebooks.com, this is a textbook price comparison site that lets you compare prices on any book at over 2 dozen bookstores and tells you the lowest price!

I'm glad that you were able to find that site. Textbooks are really expensive. It's crazy how expensive they are. But that will be a good resource for a lot of people. So that way they are able to know where to find books.

I had listed a couple of websites where you can borrow textbooks, pretty much work the same way as netflix concept. All you need to do just keep on paying the monthly rental fee until you ready to return those text book. Oh hey, it would be much cheaper to buy one yourself. I remember when I was in college, I have to pay at least $80 to $100 per textbook, it was even in used condition.

I think I only bought 4 textbooks in college because I was afraid and too proud to ask money from my parents. I was able to graduate buy borrowing books from the library, friends and classmates, doing online research, and listening to my professors while taking down notes. It's just a matter of determination and hardwork.

When I was working on my undergradute degree I would either ask people who had taken the course if I could borrow their books. If this was not possible I would rent my books from book renter. Renting your books are cheaper and it can really save you money. ALso ask if the school library has the book in the library where you can check it out for 2 hours and then photocopy the pages you need.

I have this problem too- even though we have some discounts since we are students, the price is still high and yet it's not so sure if we can definitely use it. One time I just bought a second-hand book with a big discount...and it was still looking new. That's what I'm gonna do from now on.
