Well, when the first Wayne's World came out in the early 90's, my friend and I rented it over and over and pretty much memorized the whole thing. My mom finally bought the VHS tape of it for my birthday. In the 00's, Wayne's World was replaced by The Wedding Singer. I have it on VHS also (just too lazy to bother with getting the DVD, lol) and I have watched it so many times, I can recite most of it too. I just have less time to devote to it now, what with kids and all. But, yeah, I have to say I absolutely love The Wedding Singer! Of course, I'm partial to 80's music, so that helps lol!!

I love The Wedding Singer! It's got to be my number one favorite Adam Sandler movie that he has done. I enjoyed the on screen chemistry between his character and Drew Barrymore's. From the minute they met each other I wanted them to be together. There's too many funny parts in that movie that I cannot name a favorite at all.
I'm a child of the 80s and I love that decade. It seems only natural that I would like this movie and I really did when I saw it for the first time. I like how sweet Robbie is and how he stands up for himself when it comes to his ex-girlfriend trying to weasel her way back into his life. I've watched it countless times since then and still find it as funny as it was the first time I did see it.
I love the scene with the old Grandma rapping. I found it sweet that Robbie was the one that helped her gain the confidence to perform in front of people. I found Robbie to be the hopeless romantic that every woman is looking for. He's shy and has a hard time expressing his feelings but when he does, you get the whole truth about how he feels about someone.
Another one of my favorite scenes in the movie is when he's all depressed and he's singing at the one person's wedding. When he sings "Holiday" it's absolutely hilarious. You can't help but laugh even though he is completely depressed but at the same time you can identify with what he's going through.
I liked Drew Barrymore's character as well but I wish she had seen how much her fiancee Glen was screwing around on her. Robbie and her could have been together earlier in the movie. If there was one memorable moment it was on the plane with Glenn. The minute that she hears Billy Idol's voice over the intercom and then Robbie's singing that song he wrote to her, her eyes fill up with tears of joy. Every time me and my other half see that part of the movie we both get teary ourselves. It's such a sweet ending to the movie.
So, in conclusion, I really love The Wedding Singer because of the constant 80s references and the storyline. I think the story is really funny and touching and that's important to me when I'm trying to watch a romantic comedy. It's one of my favorite movies and now you know why!
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Its one of my favorite movies, nice rapport between adam and drew. It also has upbeat soundtrack and brought back a lot of memories from the 80's.
