I've heard loads about them but to be honest, I'm not much into vampires. That's the one that the True Blood TV series is based on, right? At least, that's what I've heard. I could be totally and utterly wrong. In any case, I'm still not much into vampires. I prefer other mythical creatures that everybody else likes to ignore.

yes those are the books that true blood is based on. What kind of mythical creatures do you like?

Unicorns, mermaids, dragons, fairies, griffins, silkies, chimeras, etc. I think the only ones I wouldn't name were vampires and were-wolves.

I also really enjoy these. Can you recommend any good fantasy books? LOTR is my personal favourite. Charlene Harris deals with the darker side of the fantasy genre.

Its great. They don't have a series name. They are usually refered to as the Sookie Stackhouse books. Here is a link to the official site:

It's the same book that inspired True Blood (TV Series) right? I'm really not too keen on the series, but my friends are of the opinion that the book is a must-read. Haven't really gotten a copy though, maybe because I'm also not a fan of vampires. Now wizards, that's another matter.

I really like the book series but if don't like vampires I wouldn't reccomend it to you. Its full of vampires and related subject matter.
