sugar is bad. butter is bad. carbs are bad. blahblahblah same as with anything.. moderation is the key to health and well being. the public doesnt need more "big brothers" looking out for us.. we need to look out for ourselves. there is an obesity problem cause there is an overpopulation problem of lazy do nothing couch potatoes. do you make good choices in matters of yer health and those of yer children? or do you need the food police to dictate what you consume and how much?

Unless there is a medical condition involved, we all have the capability of self control. we just have to know how to use it. When we let our self control rule our lives, the control is gone. Sometimes it is difficultt to get it back. Having self control can make all the difference in our life choices.

yep, moderation is definitely a kind of wisdom. Please pay attention to your diet and health. otherwise, you will pay the price when you are aging, your body would need major repairs. believe in what I say. fill your life with health and happiness!

I guess I am the one who have no self control. I know all the bad things I should avoid, yet those things are very tempting. Hence my overweight and cholesterol issue...

Well for me i don't really pay that much attention to my health previously as i do now. But now i have to be careful and check what i am eating and so on because if i don't i am sure to be more obese and that would cause me much more problems in the future. I also take care when i have to be attending parties and birthdays so that i keep my health on the lookout and try to stay away from the tempting snacks which are not at all calorie conscious. I have been trying to lose weight and i have just lost a couple of kilos and i plan on losing at least 10 more! Cheers!

No i don't need the food police to watch over me. I just see to it that i eat in moderation, drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday, eat lots of fruits and vegetables and exercise for one hour at least 3x a day. At the office, i walk around the mall, where my office is , after lunch. I would go around the mall . I would climb the stairs instead of using the escalator in going to the comfort room to pee. I would sometimes give in to eating the skins of those fried chickens, but only for sometimes. I eat chicken always minus its skin. and so with the pork , i remove the fat. More or less, i know that i conform to healthy eating.

Hello tessah, I cant say no to any delicious food. Well, i am a voracious eater but its matter of discipline and control. Everything that is excess is bad. Am not picky of food as long as i know the ingredients and i do balance to the kind food i take and prepare. Balance in the sense that if you have already eaten a lot of meat during the day then have veges during the next days.Well, if you have food attendant much better for an easy balance diet everyday meal. For me. even if i eat a lot but doing physical works or exercises can burn all i have in the day. Just be sure to move a lot when you eat a lot. My consciousness always dictates me when to stop but if ever i cant hold then the following day i should have a long walk. Prevention is better and hey, no one could ever help us from our health except our self.

I doubt the food police will make any difference in the health of our nation. They're talking out of both sides of their mouths at once. First, for health and weight loss, but at the same time, encouraging GMO foods and more and more pesticides, herbicides and hormones in our food. How can we be healthy eating these poisons? Sorry for the rant.... I do try to make healthy choices and think it's very important to do so if we value our health. It's not anyone else's business, though.

I remember a little while ago when Harper (PM) started talking bout outlawing some burger offered by KFC. Like.....AS IF????? DUH? WE, and nobody else but US are responsible for what goes into our bodies. We now have the right to abort a child but can't be trusted to eat what is good or bad or in moderation? Gimme a break. *rolls eyes* Our gov'ts are just getting power hungry and think they are our parents and we are just a bunch of sheeple, that will do as told OR ELSE, we'll send you to jail. This is basically, punishing someone because you don't like them. There is no rhyme or reason to it at all. Yes, some things are bad for us, some are good, but not all things are bad for everyone. We are each individuals and our bodies all react differently to different stimuli or injestion. So, we cannot be forced to eat or not eat what is or is not considered good for us. What sparked this? I wonder if your gov't is now trying to ban the same bloody sandwich they talked about doing so now. And I definitely agree with you on the cause of the obesity problem. There is little discipline nor interaction with kids any longer, they plop them in front of a video game, TV or computer, and that is their sole source of entertainment. Pops doesn't go out to the back yard any longer and throw a baseball and play catch with his kids. He's too busy (and so is Mom) working their ever living tail off to make sure that those fat cats (10% of population) stay fat and rich, so we can stay poor. Don't think that this has all been devised by the rich, to keep us busy thinking and worrying about something trivial, instead of the real issues at hand. Corporations own us, like it or not. We have to make change.

I think I am doing better now as far as my health than I did when I was younger. It didn't help prevent a recurrence of ovarian cancer, but I weigh less than I did seven years ago before I got cancer the first time. I do tend to sit around too much, but right now I have a reason since I am recovering from surgery. I do tend to eat less now and I don't eat out hardly at all. I just hope that I can improve my health soon.

I certainly don't need anyone else dictating what I eat. I wish people like that would mind their own business. Sure I eat candy and chips sometimes but I also eat a lot of healthy food. I think we should be allowed to have our treats and not be judged for doing so. If people get out of control it is their own faults it doesn't matter how much you tax people or try to control them if they want to over do it, they will over do it. For those of us who enjoy a treat once a day or what ever should just be left alone to do so.

yea... peopel says everything is bad these days... this causes overweight, that causes cancer... what else can we eat still? I think as long as you don't go crazy about anything, it is okay, if you are so concern about this and that, where is the fun of enjoying food then??

I don't think I need any "food police" to govern my food! But the food companies need the food police to make sure they label the food properly. If not we won't know what we are eating!

Hi tess, I don't need anybody to moderate my eating habits. It is the economic situation that limits my food intake. With prices soaring these days, I have no choice but to go for foodstuffs that costs zero, such as home grown veggies or anything growing in the surroundings.
