It also started when we had a rottweiler named Sam, everything was normal after she gave birth to 2 lovely, healthy and cute pups, one night came when I got home from work so i checked the pups as I always do and saw that Sam was sleeping quietly on the other side of the whelping box but I started noticing that the pups where crying and she has no reaction then I started waking her up but she was also dead, I shouted to my brother and told him that sam is dead, I was very emotional when that moment happened I cant help but to cry while doing cpr(that i remembered watching on youtube) since I know she just died few minutes back since her body was still warm on her since I am an avid dog lover and also a nurse by profession, We rushed sam to vet at the other street but she has passed away as told by our vet.
When we brought her at home my brother was preparing to bury her in a nice place while I prepare stuffs for our puppy like our stocks of newborn puppy supplement, puppy milk, etc. for short we will be nursing them. I cant even look at the pups since it was really one of the most emotional days of my life, after a day of no sleep while we nurse the pups my brother and I had an idea of trying our pups be nursed by our boxer who gave birth few weeks ahead luckily she was still producing milk and she accepted them well, now our pups are a month old already and very healthy.
In remembrance of Sam

I'm sorry to hear how you lost your dear Sam. Have you found out why did she passed away? Was she sick or something?
You have to take good care of the orphan pups for a few weeks, they will soon start to eat solid food and then you won't have to worry for their milk intake any more. You were lucky your Boxer girl accepted the orphan puppies. It would have been hard to wake up three or four times at night to bottle feed the puppies. And it's also good that they grow around another dogs, as they will learn how to act like a dog. Orphan puppies that spend their first months of life only among people, usually have problems with socializing with another dogs.
