Mostly we will like to store videos that is being running in the internet like songs , trailers , Tutors etc from the sites like Youtube,Metacafe, dailymotion etc. There are three ways we can get them
1. By using some addons with the browser like Downloadvideohelper, speedbit, for Mozilla
2. By using External Downloaders like Internet download manager , Orbit ,Veoh web player etc .
3. Some websites provide the functions of making a Download by pasting the Video Site URL like Savevid.com,Keepvid.com

I am using IDM too. It's very useful and downloads fast since it supports parallel download.. *.*

I usually don't download streaming videos unless their extremely difficult to find 'full quality.' Although alot of the time the streaming quality is pretty good I just prefer it to be near perfect so I look for a non streamed version or I just buy it
