I have asthma. I think I inherited it from my father, since he and his family has asthma. I hate sudden weather changes. Dust and dirt triggers it too. Sometimes, perfumes can also be the culprit of this agony.
When my asthma attacks, I use Ventolin inhaler. But some co-workers of mine told me Ventolin is a weak medicine for asthma.
Do you have asthma? What triggers your asthma attacks? What do you use when you undergo asthma attacks?

I don't but my brother does. Come to think of it, my whole family has except for me. My brother also takes the Ventolin inhaler. I think dust is also the main culprit of his attacks. But he smokes and professes that smoking has helped control those attacks. Don't ask me how and why. He just said it :) My sister's son also has asthma but she gives him Ventolin but in syrup form. Have you tried herbal medicines for asthma? My sis is thinking about trying it.

Yes, from childhood. It was really terrible then. Now it's mild, but doctors insist on my continuing medication to keep it controlled (Symbicort; salbutamol for emergencies). Mine is triggered by weather/climate, stress, infections. I focus more on reducing the stressors to avoid asthma attacks, especially infections. You're right about the genetic link. One of my grandmothers had it.
Ventolin is salbutamol, and therefore, only for emergencies. Maybe you need one with a corticosteroid, too.

I have asthma but it has recently cooled down alot. I inherited it from my father. I went thru some chinese medication tht helped alot. My asthma attacks are triggered by dust and anything sour that i ingest(so lemons are out!). I use a Salbutamol and Beclomethasone inhaler. Works at a fast rate but then it makes my body tremble for a full 30mins or 1 hour(Not good!)
It sucks when the attacks come after u had a lot of fun during the day. It ruins the mood of everybody present.
I avoid most things tht trigger my attack so am doing fine now.
All the best in fighting ur attacks! Have a great day!

I used to have asthma when I was a child. Whenever I smell some smoke from rubber burning it will trigger and attack. Aside from that when my body is stress so much then I also have an attack. Thankfully, I lost my asthma upon reach the age of 12. Someone advise me to take do some sports activities and as I started with the exercise, my asthma fade away. I never had any attack since then. Well, I was hospitalized several times way back then but have used ventolin before. I do hope you will overcome your asthma. Best always!

I have asthma but mine only triggers in the winter time. I use advair and i have ventolin inhaler too. It seems to work ok but not the greatest. I see a pulmonlogist every 6 months too. I only have ashtma because I have a heart problem too and issues with my lungs so thats what caused me to have asthma. It's not fun either.

Thank God I don't have that although I can't clearly remember I nearly had or had bronchitis when I was very young but I was better as I grew older, the internal organs got strengthened. My 3 cousins had asthma when they were younger but I don't think they are suffering from it now. Yup, I remember the inhalers & ventolin they used to take

I have never had a problem with asthma. Unfortunately, i had a cousin who suffered all of his young life with asthma. Attacks would come on him out of the blue. Even with medication, it was very traumatic for him. I often think of my cousin whenever I get a cold that travels down into my chest. I feel like I can't breathe. I'm sure my cousin's asthma was far worse than thia feeling.

I don't but my best friend had,he was made an operation, and everything went well, and now he doesn't need to carry that (forget the name, which helps you breath). Now he can sport, and he is really happy. If you want not to have problems with asthma, you should try eating things which are easy to swallow, and try singing. It will help!
