Oh my! I've seen this movie twice couldn't remember the times I cried. The movie is just so touching. The love and bond between Hachi and his owner. It's just so sad they were not able to say goodbye properly to each other. The dogs loyalty is priceless.

Hello Yogeshdhusa,
I haven't seen Hachiko A dog's Story, but I saw Hachiko Monogatari, the original Japanese movie, the one made in 1987. The story itself is touching, no wonder that every dog lover cries when they see it. I imagine the Americans have made it even more emotional.
I think I must see this new version of the story, too, I saw it has Richard Gere among its actors, I think he must play the professor's role.

Hi there. I was able to actually watch it again on HBO a couple of minutes ago and yes, it really is a tear-jerker, though I definitely cried a lot more the first time I watched it on DVD.
The story of Hachiko is definitely a classic and has been one of my favorite short stories ever since I've read the material in our Silent Reading Activity back when I was in the first grade. I hardly know a person who wasn't touched by the loyalty that Hachiko displayed. Of course, I had my doubts whether the story would work out in a Western setting but I'd say that it was a pretty good adaptation of this Japanese tale.

Yup, Ive seen it and it really is a very touching and inspiring movie relating to dogs, one of the best movies Ive seen, the best part I would was that when Hachi was waiting and the transition of being a middle age dog to becoming an old dog and the part when the wife of his master approached him really started to make me cry! A highly commendable movie to watch

Yes, Ive watched the movie beacuse of pure curiosity. My 6 years old daughter kept on telling me about Hatchi again and again, that Hatchi is smart, cute and loyal dog, a true friend to His master. She said that I must watch the movie so I could see Hatchi too. I watched the movie as well and me too, cried after watching it, I never knew that this story was true and it really happened way back then. Im not so fond of taking care of dogs due to lack of space in our house, but when I get to know Hatchi, I just wanted to have a dog of our own. He's a true hero. Have a nice day head!

Yes, please do watch, i think this might remind us about our childhood, where we used to love dogs or cats like mad and same used come back. Now our life is running around other things we just forget the inner heart. enjoy the movie..
