I don't really travel much, and still, if I do, it's always within the European Union - because it's close and I can travel without a passport (yay for being EU citizen).
The furthest I've been from my home country (Poland) is Barcelone (Spain). I really want to cross the Atlantic Ocean at some point, but that's far into the future, really.
What about you? What was the furthest place from your home that you've traveled to? never outside your country? Crossed oceans during your travels?

The farthest I have been is Europe. I live in Chile, in the southern part of South America. Probably if I drew a line, the farthest country could either be Belgium or Holland. It´s a long way from my country and I not only crossed oceans but changed seasons too.

Furthest I went was to Australia - on an Italian immigrant ship in 1970. It left Genova for Sydney but I joined it in South Africa. It took two weeks to cross the Indian Ocean. The boat was over-crowded and I was the only non-immigrant and the only English speaker. I loved it.

I really love to travel to different countries in the world. I live in Europe in the United Kingdom. The furthest I have traveled is New Zealand and it would be Dunedin on the South Island. I flew to Auckland and stopped off in Los Angeles, French Polynesia and the Cook Islands. My latest trip was to Colombia and that was my first trip to South America. I have visited places in Asia like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. I have gone to Kenya, the Seychelles and South Africa. Last year I traveled to Vancouver in Canada. I have flown over the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. I have stood on the Equator when I was in Sumatra in Indonesia.

I am from the Philippines. I love to travel but my budget limits me to where I go. So my farthest have been to is Beijing. That is a four hour ride by plane from our capital. Hopefully this year or next year, I can try a flight for 8 hours. Maybe in Dubai or Doha hopefully.

I am from the US and have never been outside of it. I have been to 28 different states in the country and someday, I hope to take a trip somewhere away from the US. Not sure where really, perhaps Italy?!

When I was a senior in high school, my family went on a vacation to Oahu, hawaii. that is furthest away that I have been. It is also the longest airplane flight I was ever on. It was one of the best times of my life!

First, just to nitpick: it's not really EU, it's Schengen. 'Cause I'm not a member (I'm Norwegian) but I don't need a passport to other Schengen countries, but I need one to go to the UK :-)
I've been to the US 3 times, once to Japan and Singapore, but the furthest I've been is New Zealand. Normally I travel just around in Europe, since it's easy, it's not too far and I've got friends I can stay with in quite a few countries but I'd love to go back Australia and New Zealand.

I'm from the Philippines and has travelled quite a few countries already. As to the exact distance from my country, I have no idea which is the farthest, i don't know if the flight hours can be a reference point to determine the distance. In 2001 I traveled to Germany and had the opportunity to visit a part of France and Austria. In 2006 I taveled to Cairo, Egypt. In 2007, I traveled to the UK and stayed in the northeast of England then traveled north to Edinburgh. In 2009, I traveled to the US, stayed in California and visited Washington state up north near the Canadian boarder. From 2002 until 2007 then 2010 till date, I'm living in the gulf region. It could be Edinburgh or Seattle in Washington will be the two farthest point I traveled from my home, or Egypt? I don't know :(

I guess to Asia and Africa. (I am originally from Europe)
I wish I could travel really far as well though, to South America and Australia for instance, but I have not had the chance to go yet.
