I would think they would notice the lack of verbal communication. At least, I hope they would. Are you saying that it's been seven years? I would hope they would notice within a few months and it wouldn't take them seven years. I would just keep writing letters and notes that tell them, "I can't talk!" until they get the picture.

Sounds like an intentional vow of silence to me. Nobody plans to lose their voice for a set amount of time. If I was taking a vow of silence then I would write a letter detailing why and how long and how they could communicate with me from this point forward. It may not go over well, but I think they'd eventually get over it.

I meant 7 years into the future with speech resuming only by the age of 23. It is a difficult day tomorrow and things should be well thought out or rather, well smooth out.

Hello mate,
If at all such a situation arises for me, I 'll surely be broken. I would end up crying all night and then stay by myself for a while. But then later, I'll try to write to my parents what I am really going through and would probably even ask them to support me through this!

and.. all choices lead to sad situations. when it does, try to spice the moment a bit until every thing is understood and an alternative for education be came up with.
