Some of u may remember my son's best friend had a little baby over a year ago that had to have heart surgery the 2nd day of his life. He is doing great now & is a handsome little boy. His dad is like my son & is very much into sports especially Tennessee volunteers football. All our blood runs orange aroung here, lol. Anyway the little boy pooped in the bathtub the other day & raised his arms up & hollered touchdown. I about cracked up when my son told me about it. That's pretty young to be doing that, don't u think. I tell my son all the time he has my grandson brainwashed when it comes to Tennessee sports. I think 'cooper the trooper'[the name the nurses gave him in the hospital]is brainwashed to. whatcha' think.

Cooper sounds like quite alittle guy and as far away from rug rat as they come. The antics in the bathtub sound halarious. If he isn't into pro ball in school I will be very surprised. Cooper the trooper, huh? Cute. I do hope that there aren't any other touchdowns in other less appropriate areas.

I wouldn't say brainwashed, but it was drilled into their heads at an early age. I'm from Tennessee, and I'm not a Vol's fan. Orange was never my color, lol. Being a huge Flordia State fan, and 49er fan and married to a huge and I mean huge Chicago Bears fan. My husband tried his best to drill it into our daughter's heads that the Bears rule. People thinks he went overboard when we call our youngest Bear. That wasn't the reason she's called that. When she was born, I called her Tara Bear. So Bear became her nickname, so yes, it's my fault. You ask my girls who their favorite teams are and they will tell you it's not the Seminoles, the 49ers or even the Bears. Honestly, they could care less about sports.
So, I say let your son and his friend keep doing what they are doing. Maybe one day, those two young little men will grow up to play in the pros and bring my team back to the championships.

Sorry orange doesn't run in my blood. My family isn't into sports, so when I watched college football for the first time it was the Seminoles against the Gators. When the guy dressed up as an indian on horse came out with a flaming staff and threw it down in front of the other team in the middle of the field. I was like wow, I like this team. I just didn't like the Vol's stadium with the checkered field. Plus everywhere you go, you would see orange clothing, orange mail boxes, there is even a orange colored Xterra that I have seen around here. Just to much orange.

OMG Jo!! What a typical BOY!! That's so cute!! I hope the parents of this cute little boy have a baby book and enter in it what he did because it's one that needs to be remembered! Kids are such a joy in our lives, aren't they? I miss our God kids and hope to see them again when they turn of age but the future remains to be seen. I just pray to God that they turn out alright and not be the leech their mother is.

That is so cute! Maybe he is a little brainwashed.. but kids do tend to pick up on their parent's interests. I honestly believe interests are hereditary. My oldest, who is from a different father than the rest of my children, is a huge sports fan. I am not a sports fan, but his father is. His father was a professional baseball player.. though my son is more interested in football. He's got natural athletic ability as well.
My younger children are not interested in sports at all.. neither is my husband. Hubby is a car guy. He knows almost everything there is to know about cars. So do my younger boys.
Now, my oldest has had no influence from his natural father.. he's never even met the man. Seeing as how I am not a sports fan, I did not influence him to be interested in sports.. it just came naturally to him. Considering that his father and brothers are so interested in cars.. it's odd that it hasn't rubbed off on him at all. He knows as much about cars as I do.. basically their color, LOL. My 8 year old though, he knows what kind of car it is just by hearing it coming down the road! When he was a year old he would shout out "Mustang!" about 5 minutes before the Mustang drove by. He is amazing!
So that's why I think interests are inherited.

Cooper the trooper, or, Cooper the pooper?
A great story to embarrass him when he's older... like at his wedding.
