Recently i had went to a tribal region called attapadi as a part of an exposure programme.. and there we lived for nearly 5 days and explored around
one day we went to see a tribal village in there surrounded by forest area
and after talking and mingling with them we found they they were very kind
and helping mentality was prominent among them..
Then.
we went to bhavani river a fresh water great river near to that village or "ooru" and took bath there and also played in the water there till evening .,.
and and then after that when we came they one of the elders/ camp authority with us called to the forest guards and asked whether it is safe to walk or not
and then they said that there is three elephants on the way,
and we was shocked with terror.
we had no torches and it was very dark
we saw a light there
we went to a hut there
and asked them about the elephants
and they said that those elephants used to attack the village and they would use fire to woosh them away,,
we were frightened..
Then they said that you can stay with us today night in the hut and other huts in that village ,,from this we understood that they cared for us.. and then later some of them said that we ( us ) need better food which they dont have
and they decided to take us home..( camping place) and we said them the place
they said that we have to cross a river.
we even though it was night and we had not torches the river was slippery ..
we took the risk and crossed the river and those 5 tibals risked their lives to save us from the elephants and they neglected the reward which we offered and said that is their duty to help the visitors.
this made us teach that the real humanity is in the tribals they are the real humans and we are now lacking those qualities which they have and we are not actually humans but robots. having no emotions but greed and selfishness.
i think it is time to change..
we should help all those we see in our way..

Oh I love your story and I can very much relate to it because I had a chance to intermingle with tribal people. You see the Philippines is broken up into many provinces which had tribal origins before the Spanish colonization. Many of them still retain there tradition and culture especially in the southern and Northern Provinces. Yes in a way I think they are more human because they belonged to a time when life was simpler, they can be fierce but only to defend their honor and land but they are very friendly and and could be very loyal especially if you bond with them.

yeah that is exactly right,\
if we are friendly with them they will be the most friendly people to us but if they know that someone is trying to cheat them they will do the punishments according to what their head says,
similarly when last time last batch went. a man residing near to the tribal village visited the place when we were visiting and he stole a mobile from one of the authorities with the last batch and then the tribal villagers caught him and he was beaten up..
hey then the photo you have shown in here is not at all existing..
the tribal village were we went ..
there the people wore cotton cloths .. i mean churidars.'
etc.
and some of the huts had TV (oldest model black and white with antennas)/..
their traditions are not extincting one by one..

yes tribal people are very simple, they dress according to the environment, unlike modern people who dress in fashion even if it is too hot or too cold just to make a fashion statement. I hope you took pictures of the tribal village where you went so I can have an idea, very nice post

The story you have shown is very interesting and a good one too and thats the fact of life you have find there, we can't think beyond our mind, that we really see in front, from our eyes is not always true

So you think that those tribals are cheats
acting in front of us..
helping and carings and risking for us for free.
why cant you accept their simplicity and their truthfullness
and their humanity,,

I think tribals have a simpler society than us. That's why they are much simpler than us. In their world, they only obey a few certain rules and they are easily comfort. But people in our world have so many desires that can never satisfied. It is likely we think ourselves much much more than others. But nowadays, more and more people care about others. That is a really good trend.

the thing i have seen there is that their minds are crystal clear and are honest and truthful and they are always happy and satisfied with what they have and they have no worries and they are always happy and they live with the food what they harvest each day ...
they are not worried about any future or they are not worried with any of the diseases.

I admire the simplicity and close family culture of our tribes. They can live without the modern conveniences that I cannot possibly do. But I have this fear of a certain aggressiveness from tribal people.I have heard of people being slaughtered by these people. I hope that they can become more civilized for them to be mo hospitable to strangers.
