Have you asked these people not to smoke around you? I am a smoker and if someone told me it made them sick to be around smoke I would try not to do it around that person.

I smoke but only in designated smoking places so that it wouldn't bother the non-smokers. It's a bad habit, I know, but I haven't yet decided on kicking the habit. If I'm with a non-smoker, I always ask the person if I could smoke, and I don't if the person says no. I know that there are inconsiderate smokers out there, but not all are.

I never smoke in my car with a non-smoker in there. Usually I state I'm having a smoke when I do so a person can make a choice whether or not to be around me. Right now its winter so most people are inside. I have to go outside to smoke so I'm generally not around people. If young children walk by me while I'm smoking I try to hold my smoke far enough away and make it less visible. I smoke in designated smoking areas when there are some. See my town restricted a lot of the area to smoke but didn't make designated smoking areas. So there are no more ashtrays. they basically outlawed them everywhere so I will smoke in areas I'm not aloud to smoke in because I'm not aloud to smoke anywhere.
I definately don't mind moving if my smoke is bothering someone.

i get very sick when i am around smokers. i try to avoid them if i can as much as i can. i wish they would all quick. it is a bad habit that can kill you. i'm glad there are places where there are signs of no smoking or smoking outside.

I hate smokers. They don't respect others. They do mmoking in public places and buses. Smoking is a bad habbit. And it creates diseases.

There is nothing wrong with smoking in public places. If you have a problem with someone smoking tell them politely. most smokers will gladly move.

I am not a smoker also. I really hate smoking and the smell of smoking. Sometimes I am surrounded by people who are smokers. This is very annoying for me.

hello alokijon!
i'm not a smoker, but my father is. when i was a kid, the smell of smoke didn't bother me. but when i grown up, i know it's really bad for health. i ask my father to quit smoking, but it doesn't work. now i really hate the smell of smoke, so i don't like to attend a party or banquet, because there are lots of smokers there. the smell makes me sick and cough, i hope the sign of 'no smoking' can be put on in everyplace.

Most of the smokers that I know are courteous enough not to smoke just anywhere. They go to particular 'smoking areas' away from non-smokers. Otherwise, they ask permission first and they make sure nonsmokers are not downwind from them.
I would suggest you tell them that the smoke makes you dizzy. Just make sure to ask nicely. =) I think most smokers would be nice enough to either not smoke in your presence, or move somewhere else. Or you can move somewhere else if that can be done. Or maybe you can try wearing a mask if that helps.
Good luck! =)

For every smoke they smoke you smoke half, Public smoking can be severe especially in an area where there is a baby and people with ahsma. Smoking is becomming really expensive anyway so hopefully a big population of smokers will quit. :)
