But they do it so well they bring it to life. And when we fall into a film and let its story envelope us we leave reality behind. It is the realism we hate not the actual person or character. It is the writer's description and the actor's performance. And they bring it to life on the screen.

That's a sign of great acting. For me, when the character being portrayed by actors and actresses invoke a feeling of hate to the viewers, they are definitely doing their part well. The problem is that sometimes some viewers think that the actor also has the same attributes as the character he plays.

Hi marapplestiffy. If viewers react as they are expected to, then it only means the antagonist was able to internalize her role and play it well. So it is understandable that viewers get carried with the emotions portrayed. And yes, oftentimes, the impression stays even after the show.
