I'm currently in 10th grade and i feel that teachers spend too much time teaching the same thing over and over again. I'm currently in biology learning things i learned in 6th and maybe even 5th grade. Please not this is NOT the only subject this is happening in. Why spend so much time in one subject when we can be advancing in our education?

just learn whatever is offered to you. education is about absorbing every bit of information you can put your hands into. don't complain. you will thank your teachers one day. my question is, do you remember what you learned in your 6th grade biology class?

I notice this a lot. I really think that there needs to be some review, but there are times where I tend to go through over half of the class when I went to grade school and high school, before we got to any new material. That being we might have gotten to some new material, but it was really not guartenteed. Really, I swear, I took the same math class like about three year sin a row.
I feel like if you need to pad things out, then one of two things needs to happen. Either you need to restructure the classes better and get textbooks that move things along. Or about one or two years, maybe three worth of schooling need to be cut out. Really, I think that there might be a bit too much schooling if there is that much padding and all of that. Still there is a lot of repetition for sure.
