My First Grandchild :D

I have four.....and they are so very special! I could hardly believe it when I held the first one in my arms...and everyone since is just as special..I had told my sisters that they would never believe what I was trying to tell them about being a grandmother until that moment they became one....now they both have grandkids! And you should hear our conversations! LOL....

Congraulations, , grandchildren are wonderful. My oldest one is 6 & he is the apple of my eye. He is going to have a baby sister in a couple of months & i'm looking forward to her birth but i know i will always be partial to him altho i would never let it show. U enjoy that baby, grands are great!

Hey there MamaCat38, first of all a very warm welcome to mylot. I am very happy to hear that you had your first grand child on 02/01/2011. It would have been very nice, if he was born a day earlier, because then his birthday would have been 01/01/11. My cousin sister deliver her first baby on 1/1/11. Coming to the grand children, I had my first and only grand Daughter till date about 2 years back, by my daughter. She was a premature baby, and had to be kept in the incubator for a long time.The first time I saw her, I cried, (Yes men also weep/cry), the reason was, all the needles which were stuck on her. My wife really took care of the baby, and to cut a long story short, she is fine now. I am a man who do not like physical contacts much, and I do not remember kissing or hugging my son or my daughter, but believe it or not, I very much wanted to kiss and hug this small bundle of joy.Whenever I used to get the chance, I used to pick her up and hold her, and kiss her. I do not know how I got this feeling, and I do not know, whether it will be the same with the 2nd or 3rd grandchildren.

Congratulations to you and your daughter! Loving that new little angel in your life now is a very heart warming feeling. My daughter is only 8yrs old so it would be a very long long waiting for me to have a grand child. But what i experienced with my mother, she was so happy when she first laid her eyes on my first baby, my daughter. It seems she love her grand children more than her daughters. hello mamacat... congratulation for your grandchild born. i believe he will bring happiness to your family. well actually i donot know the feeling but i can feel if my child is loved by her grand mother and father. my first child is the first girl grandchild in my hubby family. so it is nice to be loved by the family. have a nice day mamacat..
