Every religion is great in its own way and no one is superior to others and similarly no religion is inferior to others. We all people follow the religion in which we have taken birth.Rarely some adopt another religion if they so desire. In a socity or a country we have to live together whatever may be the religion we follow. As we are all social beings unlike animals and birds we have to live together and share our happiness and sorrows with others.Thefore any religion should aim at uniting people for their good and for the good of others and under any circumstances it should not separate them. What do you say...

There is good and bad and the two cannot unite. It is the same with religion, it is not all good and it is not all bad. There is good and bad religion and there are good and bad people that practice any religion. A little rust on an automobile cannot be ignored for if one does it will eventually spread and rust the whole automobile.
For a religion to truly unite people it must be kept pure. But by doing that it will keep out a lot of people since most people are dishonest. Look what happens when the police go on strike. Then you really see what kind of people live around us.
So the two kind of religions, the good and the bad will continue to separate people until God takes action to remove the bad off the face of the earth. The day is not so far away!

If a religion fights (physically and with weapons) it is a false religion and their god is false. Religion should elevate man beyond the need to fight and their god if he is real should be able to protect his people. If a religion fights and goes to war, that to me is a false religion. If they talk and preach about love, how id fighting and killing love?
Many people have been turned away from God because of religious hatred, destructiveness, abuse of humans and fratricide (and we are brothers). A knife like religion can be used for good or bad, it all depends on the user.
Again, one God and one religion (uniting, peacemaking and truthful). The day is here and the time is now! It exists and it can be found!

I am very glad that all of you agree with my view.As there is one Sun ,one moon, one God there should be one religion.Still people may fight. It is inbuilt in human nature to fight on some ground or ther other like inequality in wealth etc but fighting on the basis of religion can be avoided..

PLease look for analogical way. Infact there is only one earth, one Sun, one Moon. Try look at inner-sight. Candles let say 100 candles. We look at the candle's light not at the candles it self.
Agree with you united...not separated
One Light, One Sun, One Moon One Earth

except Islander all others agree that there should be one religion. But Islander says no God, and no god religion.I don't understand what he means. We may not believe in the existence of God but religions are existing and every one follows one religion or the other.Does he mean to say there should be no religion or what?.It is a fact that religions do exist and we cannot deny it but the aim of every religion should be to unite and not separate people...

Hi chayapathys, I completely agree with you, all religions have good in them and none is superior to another. It is when we get the idea that our religion is the only true one that trouble starts.I have great respect for the Deli Llama who walks a middle ground believing that all religions have enough good if their followers would live the truth it teaches. It is the fundamentalists in all religions that pose the greatest threat. Blessings.

Yes.You are correct. It is only when we see good in another man irrespective his religion we can call ourselves as human beings. In Budhism there is no God.They all concentrate in good qualities of human beings like compassion etc.Naturally there will be unity when you concentrate on human nature and not on rituals.....

I don't see what good a religion can do for your faith if it does not unite you with others of your faith. Separating us would only demean the purpose religion has for your life.

Yes it is true that no relegion is inferior to other! And the main aim of any relegion is to unite people!! The wrong interpretations of a few people is the reason for the misunderstandings!! No relegion propagates inter-relegion or intra-relegion conflicts! it is the people who create a notion that any relegion persuades its followers to follow and preach only its views or foot steps. Its not true!!

So it is not the religion but the hardcore followers that are culprits for separating people. If this secret is understand by all then no one will fall victim to their slogans of separation. The secret of happiness lies in cooperation and coordination and not in mutual hatred and separation....

As sad as this might sound, religion is a business. When you go buy a car, every manufacturer will tell you their car is better. In the drive to attain followers, religion's sales pitch is not unlike the car salesman. However, if you are one who wants only the truth regardless of whether you agree with that truth or not then you better question everything. Check under that hood. Best to go in with eyes open. I sure don't want you getting a lemon.

It is really sad that there is exploitation in every religion and fighting among people belonging to different religions. We are all children of one God and therefore we all belong to one religion. we may not fight on the basis of religion but we will still fight for inequality which we may not easily reconcile...

You have put up a nice question chayapathys. If we look around we see some religions, not all are dividing people rather than uniting them. This however is not the aim of religion. The aim of religion is to take care of the moral of its followers, give them the right kind of disposition and help them to live according to their given nature. Everyone must live according to his given nature that is Dharma and not religion. Religion is the mean to enable man follow his Dharma.
Animals live by their instincts and that enable them to live according to their given nature. We as human must live according to our conscious motives. We have only conscience to guide us. Unlike instincts, conscience cannot arise in us as an impulse, jump across the nerve ending and cause us to act. Voice of conscience is feeble. It acts only in advisory capacity; it has no power to enforce obedience. Only those who are able to heed the voice of conscience can live according to Dharma. Those who overhear it live as animals live.

The pupose and aim of any religion is to inculcate discipline among the followers and mutual respect and tolerence. But what is happening in reality is quite the opposite. It is very unfortunate.Unlike animals when we act to reason then why should we hate each other on the basis of religion. When we visualise that we are all brothers and sisters belonging one religion of God we really feel very happy..

I don't think any religion matters today in this era of globalization. If at all, there is any religion that we should follow, I think it should be the religion of Humanity.
We all want to live happily and not get divided on issues that may not seem correct based on some religion. If we, the people decide what is good for us, then no religion can come across it.
We want peace in the world, and love and care to prosper.

Very good. In the present setup of life religion matters very little. What we all want is good heart and mutual understanding of each other. What is the difference between human beings and animals except the faculty of reasoning.Once you develope mutual respect and love the present world will become heaven on earth...
