So I have been at College for a little over a month now, and for the most part it has been okay. I am doing well in all of my classes and I find most of the people are amiable and accepting. The girl in my room spoke to me a little bit the first time we met, but since then she hasn't said a word. And the other two girls haven't said anything to me either. They never acknowledge the fact that I am the one who does all of the chores, or even ask me if it is okay to put up giant posters of half-naked men in our living room. These two facts don't bother me too much, it just is annoying because I feel like this isn't really my home. I have tried to spark conversations with all of my roommates, but I am lucky if they even give me one-word answers. Is this normal? And do you have any advice for how to get my roommates to speak with me? I'm not expecting to be best friends with any of these girls, I just don't want to feel so weird staying in my own apartment.
