Hello guys, nice to be backed again here..it was been a long hibernation and I miss everyone here...
Am not a risk taker. I have no guts on it. This is my weakness. There are few people I admired when it comes of taking risk. Are you one of them or you're like me?
Your reply is highly appreciated.

I am somewhat of a risk taker. I took a risk when I fell in love with my boyfriend and I took a risk when I decided to go to college at the university in my city. I took a risk when I went hiking and was scared that I was going to fall and I didn't. I took a risk when I bought a lottery ticket and won money back on it.
My point... it's just fun to take risk. You never know what you will get out of it.

Sometimes, you just have to take a change. You just have to leap. You have to believe. If you feel it in your gut, or you feel it in your heart, and you know that it is there, go for it. Like they say in the Nike commercials "Just do it".

Welcome back! I don't like to take risks either. I was not always like that, but it seems the older I get, the more I am afraid to take risks. I guess it is because as you age, you fear change more. At least that is how I feel.

Hi monhomeir: First of all I am glad that you are back here. Now, your question: I am not a risk taker either. Sometimes I ask myself why but I think that's because I like to be sure of the things I do. I try to plan everything, to have the control and that's the reason why I don't like to invest on risky programs. I prefer to be sure that I am doing well when I take a decition. I think that's good but at the same time, people can win a lot when they take risks but at the same time they can lose it all. I think that depends on the importance you give to your stability.

Thanks my friend..well, I must be specific what kind of risk I supposed to mean. As what I had said, am not a risk taker but, occasionally there were some incidents risk-taking could never be avoided especially if I would have no other choice but to take it...but that's rare because like you I have check it first, analyze the pros and cons..
I rather go on "slowly but surely" than "instantly but vaguely"..well it depends on the situation my friend, you know..Nice weekend my friend..
Thanks for responding...

Hi! Im not a natural risk taker. I only take the risk depending on the situation, most of the time I try to study first my action. If you want to be a risk taker then you should learn to make quick solid decision and calculations. Im sure you sometime in your life you have taken risk, learn from it, build selfconfidence Im sure you can be one of the people you admire...

I agree with you my friend...though am not a risk taker but I had several incidents that risk-taking never avoided...of course if you have still time to think about it, we have to think twice before risking your life...Thanks for responding.

I must say that I take risks, but these risks are calculated. It means that before I take the plunge in doing something new or different, I do a lot of assessing and planning. I'm a bit perfectionist and obsessive-compulsive, so I hate it when things seem to go the wrong way. However, this does not prevent me from taking risks. I have learned that staying safe or staying in your comfort zone won't lead you anywhere. I don't want my life to be stagnant, so I do take risks. I sacrifice what I have at present in the hope that in doing so, I will have a better future.

I am also not a risk taker. All my life I have stayed on the safe side of things. But now, I feel that I need to get out of my comfort zones. I need to take a little risks in my life. This involves money and I know money is hard to come by these days. But if I don't start with my business, I might end up working until I'm past retirement age because I have nothing set aside. There are just some risks that you need to take so that you won't ask yourself "what if?"

No, I don't think so! I like to know where I stand in every situation, I like to have a sense of security. There's nothing wrong with this and this is just the way I am. I think that you have to be content and if you are content then this contributes to you not taking risks and this definitely applies to me. That's not to say it wouldn't be nice to take risks but I think that there has to be a certain amount of headaches that you have to experience travelling down that path!
I'm just so pleased that we live in a world where everyone is an individual and can to a certain extent choose their own path so to speak. They say it's nice to try something new but I'm quite happy sticking to what I know. I think the key is happiness and right now I'm experiencing some happiness although my life is far from perfect! Well to an extent I think I am. I mean seriously, what's life without taking a few chances? If we continued to remain inside that nice little secure box that we have built for ourselves and had not ventured out to do anything a it out of the ordinary, then what's the fun in that? There are times where you got to live. Isn't that what life is after all?
Still while I am a risk taker, and I am not reckless. There are times where you got to stay when and then stand back to lie low for a little bit. I think that you can actually take risks smartly, but when you are taking risks that have little to no upside to them, then you might have just a little bit of the problem. I think that there are times where you got to step outside the box and live.

There are times that I take risks. It generally depends on the situation. I usually weigh things first. If I think the risk will be worth it then I go for it. One should think a million times before risking because once you have decided, you cannot back out.

Well said my friend..I must be specific on the first place. It is because it depends on what kind of risk would you take..there are risks that you can refuse it though it would be so hard for you to it..I guess it all depends on the situation..
Thanks for responding my friend..

I am a definitely a risk taker, why did I say that? because for me I don't want to regret when the time comes. I think that whenever there is a risk involved it only means that you have to make a major decision and decisions are either good or bad and you have to accept the risks combined with that decision that you have made. I think that people who are great risk takers are trying to embrace their fears too.

It depends if it's worth taking risk. The higher the risk is, the higher would be the price. I only take risk if I know how risky it was so that if something else happens I would still be able, at least to handle whatever the price is.

Risks cover a very broad spectrum. I take some risks but not others. I don't generally take risks on the road, as I think it's just stupid to endanger my life and the lives of others. But on the other hand I've made some pretty major life changes over the years which many people thought I was mad about.

Sometimes I am a risk taker especially if I know the risk is worth it. Most of the time, though, I think things through carefully because you'll never know what might happen. You have to consider every possible angle to a situation.

Well i am a risk taker but depends on the situation at hand there. I am actually more practical and think of solutions to the problem and if i don't get any then i would think of a good risk to take. Sometimes it has led to my downfall or has not worked out to how i wanted it to but other than that everything is going well. Some risks have paid off big time for me.
Risks are the chances which we gain experience with. Without any risks involved there won't be any fun in the challenge ahead of us. I always prefer to have some risk so that my job would be entertaining. I don't really like a plain boring life.
Cheers!

I'm a risk taker and I love taking risks even if it would cost me good or bad. If you won't take risk, nothing good or bad will happen to you.But if you do, the pleasure or failure is up for you to wait. Anyhow, making risks is really dangerous but it's a good way of testing your faith to The Lord as well as your trust in your instincts and capacities.
