Last month I had been getting frequent heartburns for one or two times a week. Sometimes worse it flares up inside my chest. I have been watching the foods that I eat. Then I exercise from time to time.
Besides Tums and Pepto Bismol, which is the best over-the-counter medication that is very strong to take for my heartburn?

This heart burn is mainly due to acidity which is caused by unhealthy food habits. The basic solution for this is to control your diet and avoid eating all sorts of oily food. I am suffering from this acidity problem from quiet sometimes now. One thing which has helped me in controlling this is by consumption of cold milk without sugar. Sugar is a good antacid if consumed without sugar. A regular glass of cold milk before going to bed at night will help you a great deal.

Hello there! i hope u r in a good condition right now and all is well with you. Your discussion caught my attention because it was just last night that i suffered from heartburn too. It was really hard to breath and i felt my tummy's so full. I didn't take any medicine for it. What i did was i requested my daughter to give me a back rub and tap it, It was a relief and i burped and burped, good that the gas in my tummy were released. Whew! I just hope you feel better now. Take care!

i also don't know much about medication. but taking more conventional medicine may exposed us to free radicals that may damage to our cells and may cause other diseases. heartburn occur due to the expulsion of the digestive fluid. i suggest to drink or take food that are high in cleansing like a crushed seeds of the plantago ovata plant. it's a 100% psyllium seed good for cleansing. also eat fruits that are rich in vitmin c, also drink water.
