Would you break up with someone using an online breakup service?

I have a friend who has a website called breakupeasy.com Some people say it's a bad way to break up with somebody but I would think with all the people meeting over the internet it will only be a matter of time before people start breaking up over the internet.

wow! I didn't know there could be such a service. Is it for free? I am filled to the gills with curiosity. Does it facilitate the break up or does it help two people survive the break up? I thought people would be more interested in avoiding the break up. This break up thingy is getting so easy these days, I don't think love has even half the seriousness it had a few years before. It sounds like meeting and breaking up is no big deal. I am still curious about this and I am surely going to check out this site later. I remember publishing this article http://www.bukisa.com/articles/351197_moving-on-after-a-break-up on Getting Over a Break up. I guess people don't need to read it anymore. You're right it's only a matter of time.

It is a free notification service. There is a forum where users can vote on Whether a couple should break up or not You can check it out at http://www.breakupeasy.com

If you need to break up with someone, you should at least have the courage to do this face to face. you would owe them that much. It caan seem like the coward's way out to break up with someone online.

Most of the people who responded so far seem to feel that way But what if the person has a history of violence? Why would you knowingly walk into a potential assault if you don't have to.

Wow! I haven't heard of the site. However, I would prefer breaking up with somebody in a formal way so that I would know if I'm really serious about my decision or I'm just affected by some minimal stuffs.

I don't think it's prim and proper to break-up with someone using the internet. This is a personal matter and I think must also be deal personally. There must be at least some degree of respect with the person no matter how hard and painful it is. Even if the relationship had gone sour, both party must be decent enough to end it face-to-face, clear out this, and get out with clear hearts!

I highly doubt I would ever use such a service. I mean, I guess if you were strictly online dating and haven't met the person in real life yet, it would be a thing to consider. But I think if you live close enough to the person/are able to drive to them, you are perfectly capable of breaking up in person. If you find that too hard, at least do it over the phone so there is actual talking and not just text like a text message or an IM would have. Breaking up is hard to do, but it can still be done with decency.

No, never. It just seems too disrespectful to me. I would never want anyone to break up with me this way, so there is no way I could do it to someone else either!

I would not break up with someone using a breakup service. That would be pretty crappy. However, I have broke up with someone over text but I didn't mean it. I was just upset. We ended up getting back together. I can see why some people would use the website maybe they have a crazy bf/gf or something. Just a little to impersonal to me.

I would not break up with someone using this service. I am a firm believer that you must show some respect and at least break up with them in person. I wouldn't even break up with someone via text message or instant message, let alone a service. I do believe that this idea has potential, although I would not be interested in the service.
