You ride a jeep, the chances of your pockets being picked or your valuables being snatched away from you is high. You ride a bus, you risk the chances of being held-up, taken hostage, or worse, being blown to smithereens. You ride a taxi, you pay far too much for the service you get. It's practically highway robbery, only legal.
So you say, OK, let's just walk home then, nothing's safe anymore. BUT walking on the streets, alone, is as risky as the rest of the options.
What now? Do we have to get mutated and wish to receive an ability to fly just so we can be safe?
By the way, I'm being serious here.

it seems that way! you forgot to mention a few other things:
- the stretched muscles from holding on to the jeepney because it rolls off even if you were just about to grab the railing
- falling and hitting your head because the jeepney rolls off even if you haven't taken your seat yet
- getting run over by a motorcycle or a bicycle because the jeepchose to stop in the middle of the street to pick up passengers
--- iba ang pinoy! heheh

There is really not much choice is it? I commute everyday. I rode a tricycle, jeepney, FX, bus, MRT, LRT. I basically rode every land transportation available. With the current situation in our country there really is no safe place. Just pray, that you can't be at the wrong place at the wrong time. There really is not much we can do about it. It is the reality of our society that there are just people who do bad things.

In reality there are no safw place anywhere and not even in your own car as long as you aee running oit of luck. Hehe but seriously i think we cannot think of the issues as such. It os true that piblic transportation is not safe because we have got to go out and work and we have no choice. Just keep on praying and be always be aware of theplace where you are. Anything suspicious should not be allowed to go as of as if it has not happened.

I know what you mean. Drive your own car and you may be in danger of being carjacked, or worse killed for a piece of metal. We can always ride a bike. Here in Marikina we have bike lanes so its easy for me to bike to the nearest mall or to run errands in my little town. The government also placed bike racks all over so that you can chain your bike there. I haven't been bike-napped yet or bike-jacked so far. I get to explore my city and go to places that I normally can't get to. But a lot of times I walk around here, and its been okay for me. It probably depends on the city. Try walking in Cubao and you'd probably end up divested of everything including your clothes.

Here's my solution and I've been doing this for the last couple of years. To avoid pick pockets I don't carry that much money. If I'm going to ride a bus, I choose the ordinary since so far I can only remember that only airconditioned buses gets bombed. When I ride a taxi, I make sure that I have loose change. When I walk the streets I dress up simply. So far its working.

Those things happens yes, but not all the time. My family commuted almost every day and it's as normal as ever. For us ordinary Filipino who cannot afford to buy a car for our own use have no options but to use public transportation s. It is our duty to protect our selves and go on living as normal as we could. It is a sad flight but can we do something about it? I guess to be more careful and alert is the only thing we can do for now!
