Okay here goes this is how I like to make my salads, I like to get two different kinds of Lettuce the regular one and the leaf lettuce, then roma tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots and mushrooms, not from the can the ones in the produce section, tear the lettuces up and rinse, cut the tomatoes, rinse, cut the cucumbers, rinse, cut the stems off the mushrooms and discard and rinse the mushrooms, then add all together, rinse, and add salt and pepper, and whala you have a great salad!! I also like to add avacados, but only in the bowl of salad that you are getting ready to eat because if you leave in the salad bowl on the fridge they will turn black! Oh and OOPS I almost forgot don't forget the shredded carotts!!!

That's simple! What about the dressing? I don't like fattening dressing.

There is always a light dressing in the grocery store, I like the light Ranch dressing and the Catalina it is an orange colored dressing they have light too it just depends on what you like, my favorite is the light Ranch though.

try this one: lettuce (any kind of lettuce which ever u prefer), cucumber, carrots, ham, hard boiled egg, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. for the dressing just mix a little ketchup and real mayonnaise. put some pepper n salt to taste. then dip the veggies into it. its really good and healthy

I think ja said just about all there is to say about wonderful salads! I make my own dressings though, in part because I want frsh dressings, in part because I want to know exacly what I´m using. The simplest dressing is oil, sal and pepper, vinegar or lemon (I prefer vinegar for lettuce) and a bit of dry oregano. That dressing is light and if you make it with vinegar you can keep it for some time in the fridge.
