I usually get motivated after I read something else; and then have something to say about what I read. Usually I will get writing a big long comment on another article(or here on mylot), and say to myself "Hey, this could be an article!" :D When Triond has those specials, like the one this month, I get really motivated to write :D

Yeah, that's well said. Being a good writer flows from reading. Your tendencies are to be commended. I have read a lot in recent years, about 40 books per year, plus lots of stuff online. I am at the stage where I have so much to say, partially as a result of having read, or taken in, so much. I have to get it out through writing. I'm also thinking as I read, "I could write that, or something like that, or something better than that." Whether that is true or not is another thing!

I get motivated whenever I experienced something or do something that I think that is worth writing about and worth sharing on my blogs. Also, reading other people's writings and blogs motivates me, whenever I see something interesting.

Well,i am newbie to triond too. What motivate me to write is:first,to improve my written english;second,to earn some side-money. Of course, sometimes my brain feel blank and don't know what to write. Sometimes i feel full of passion and energy to write, then i will take the chance to write more.

Usually I get motivated to write according to what i feel. From within, ideas continuous flowing and writing be very easy. So, usually if I started to write blog it came from my emotion. Unlike writing article that needs to prove and it takes a long stories to write down. It can be from within ourselves or it came from the stories we encounter of what was happened the whole day. It will also inspired us to write if we had the story behind our mind and put it into hard copies. We get our inspiration to right from our environment and people around us associated with what we feel.

Hi Akangirl, I do not have any problem writing articles. The problem is that there are too many things to write and share. i cannot possibly write about everything. i mean I can write about the temples near my house, even go to the extend of taking pictures of the temples. However, those articles about religions do not earn much. I can also write about recipes, eg cooking porridge, herbal soup and other local dishes. Again the earnings for these content are very low. It is a matter of selective writing. I think I spend far more time on researching the monetary value of a given topic, than in the actual writing.

I do not like writing but as you know some day the inspiration comes.Personally,my inspiration could be an event or a girl.It is depend on that, what I am going to write.Or we can dream something that sounds good and then we get up we want to write down that what we have dreamed. But in most case,we forget that what we have dreamed. What do you think?

Writing is no easy feat when you are just starting to get your flow. I am motivated by reading others writing. It doesnt have to be my specific subject it just has to be interesting. I like to read a wide variaty actually. And also if you practice writing every single day you will also have a much easier time at writing. It helps with the writers block.

During my teenage years and even younger actually I started writing and I enjoyed the process. I remember keeping private diary entries and I found so much freedom in this. I still keep a private journal although I don't write in it as much as I should these days. I think that from my journal entries stemmed the enthusiasm to try other forms of writing. I joined websites like Triond and Helium and tried my hand at some fiction writing. I love using my imagination to create little adventures! The good thing about this is there's not a lot of research involved as opposed to writing non-fiction. I think that regular writing is good in anycase and posting on My Lot regularly can most certainly improve your writing skills and keep you motivated so to speak. I would like to think that writing is one of my main skills aside from computer maintenance and installation! Andrew

Good question. I have all sorts of ideas in my head that are always floating around. I don't have enough time to write them down, let alone get the idea down on my keyboard. I could probably sit down right now and come up with 50 article ideas and ten solid book ideas to pursue. "It" is just in there.

Spare time is what motivates me to write Other than that, Triond has Fevruary special and it's pretty encouraging for me. I know I might not be able to write 20 articles per month, but I hope I can write at least 10. I love writing and it's great being read, even though I'm lazy as a cow, at least that keeps me motivated.

I got motivated to write when a have a great idea. Usually I got them in my dreams. You see my dreams are really creative. The problem is I don't have the time to write them all, so I'm just jotting them down and commit them on my memory. I never even finished a single story. That's all there is to it. I'm more like an impulsive writer.

This going to sound weird, but I don't have a hard time coming up with ideas to write articles, stories, or just about everything. They just come to me. People tell me that I have a wild imagination that if I really put the effort I could become a famous horror writer. The thing is that I am not looking for ways to become famous, I am to the point where-- family and just friends read my work. Stephen king was right when he said, " If you don't have the time to read, you don't have the time or the tools to write simple as that" Reading opens your mind to new ideas and exposes you all different kinds of writing styles to help you figure out which is yours.

I like to think about the joy and love of writing that I have right before I plan to do it. Like if I was taking a shower, my thoughts are surrounding my laptop and how good it feels to push the keys and pour out my knowledge into the world. Really feeling how good it feels to write before you do it makes it so much easier to get started and to keep going. I do this process with everything I do.

There is no particular way I motivate myself to write. Ideas come to me unexpectedly during the day and cannot be forced. In fact I get ideas from the most bizarre incidents and things I see it. I can’t really explain how creativity happens; I just know that it cannot be forced to come out! Sometimes just surfing the net can produce some ideas for topics. Good on you for writing an article for Triond, keep it up, I’m sure you will come up with more for sure!
