How to delete messages,,

Hello friends Many times I receive messages and they are accumalating.No doubt they are very useful and I am thankful to them.Now I want to delete them as they are many and I am unable to do it.How to delete them.Can any one help me..?

What you say is correct.But how many can we keep over along period.No doubt they are messages of thankfulness but they should be removed one day or the other.That is why I want to know the method by which I can remove some of them atleast..
