marriage is a sentence....a LIFE SENTENCE....and engagement leads to that..lol.am just kidding of course.i think that if both the man and woman truly love each other, engagement is of the next step.couples are happy because they are moving forward towards the next stage of their relationship.i for one am not a big believer of marriage and engagements. for me, it is the expereince that you wish to share with your partner in life. everything else is man made -- not that it is a bad (engagement.it is actually kinda cute, just not my cup of tea =)

I guess being engaged is one step closer to getting married, and with being engaged, there is there certainty that you are indeed getting married, unlike just being in a relationship, where you're not really sure whether you're going to stay together or not... Engagement is really not big here in the country, though it has gotten more and more known. I guess it really depends on the couple whether they will go through the engagement stage, or just straight to being married.

We see the possibility of having a great life with someone special and we don't want to loose it. We have inkling that this might be a dream and this may all go away once we wake up. We take time to believe that all this happiness is actually true and permanent.
