The body shop products are quite famous internationally. They are known for their deliciously smelling shower gels, lotions, lip balm and what not. Everything smells nice accept their shampoos i believe. The products are made of natural products and real fruits( no wonder the smell). Hence they are quite expensive. You can check out the online store here:

I feel that the products are super amazing and come for a long time so the cost is completely worth it. Of course not for regular shopping, BUT ITS NICE TO PAMPER YOURSELF ONCE IN A WHILE RIGHT!?

they were kinda expensive but i think they were better than the mass produced cosmetics since those were more of chemicals and less organic while Body shop products are more organic I think. My girlfriend bought me a soap and a shower gel from that shop and they were good. Their products are kinda expensive though compared tot he generic brands,

peppermint bodywash, I love the refreshing cool sensation after taking a bath. It really feels great to use it. I love everything that is minty.

I think they're overpriced, and if you look at the ingredients, they're not as natural as they'd like us to think.
plus, they're OWNED by Loreal, who fund animal testing.
when I was a teenager, you could get some fun, animal friendly products at pocket money prices. not anymore.
if you liked the ice blue shampoo or peppermint foot lotion, then Lush are much more what you want.

neither are cheap. I can't speak for other countries, but by UK prices, I think Lush are much better value. Body Shop priced me out of their market years ago.
some Lush things are pretty expensive, but good value for that cost when you consider the ingredients and that you're not paying for expensive packaging.
and last time I actually looked at a Body shop products ingredients, they're not even as natural as they like to portray.

I used to be a big fan of Body Shop, back in the days when they produced very natural alternatives to the big stores. Most people thought I was odd, since I'm male, but they used to make some excellent stuff for guys, too.
Then everything changed: L'Oreal bought them.
Since L'Oreal is one of the worst companies in the world for animal testing, screwing everyone for as much money as possible and engendering values in people that are completely, diametrically opposed to the old Body Shop ideal... I've never gone back.
As far as I'm concerned, the original owner totally sold out her principles, beliefs and everything the company stood for when she sold. I'll never spend another penny there, ever.

They may not have touched the Body Shop principles (yet), but the profits all roll up to the same place and the sales all fund animal testing in the end. It works out the same, as far as I'm concerned: changing the name on the lab door doesn't change what happens inside.
Despite the fact that their products smell great and are natural and so on, there's no way I'll give them my money. Not even if they were the only people on the planet producing products I could use. I'd rather go without.
But hey, that's just me.

I agree that the original owner sold out her principles, but the fact is, she's not still there.
The body shop range is still produced without animal testing, and their skin stuff works for my skin without horrible animal testing. Could I find stuff that's not owned by a large company who are pro-animal testing? Yes, but none of the other stuff I've tried works as well. This is the best balance I've found.
L'Oreal may be one of the worst companies for animal testing but they haven't changed any of the body shop principes on it, so I don't object to paying for it.
Their other stuff is another point entirely.

I love pampering myself but not with Body Shop products. Their products were expensive and I can't afford it. I have no work and guts to buy one even if I'm really dying to have it. But I have a Body Shop eye shadow quad and it's nice; I don't use it that much anymore.
