Wow, that's really good. I wish I can type as fast as you but is your accuracy excellent? At least 97%. Most be a show for them to see you type then huh? Nice to hear that. Keep up the good typing skill then.

This is the firts time I've left a response...actually, it's my first 5 minutes logged on.
But as far as typing certificates go - When I took my civil service exam back in 1988 I was certified to type 150 wpm! And that was back in the days of typewriters. I'm pretty impressed myself.
I was a medical transcriptionist for over 18 years and my aptitude for termonology along with my nimble fingers helped me earn a good living - now, if my arthritis isn't acting up, I'd guess I can probably do about 60.
Maybe I'll get bored one of these days and try one of those online tests :)

That's pretty impressive to type that fast without looking at the keyboard! I can't type without looking at the monitor. At least, not as well. I also type a lot slower if I have to read from something rather than type from dictation. I'm a slow reader so I can't type faster than I can read.

It depends on what I'm typing. If I have to copy something I am slower...probably 40+ words. But if I'm talking to friends, writing emails, stuff from the head and heart then I type really fast. Not sure exactly but really really fast! Suprise people with how fast I can whip things out. Haha.

Mine is a modest 65wpm after years of being in the field of transcription. I don't have certification of any sort, but I test my speed regularly on typing test websites.

135 wpm was my fastest ever on a Qwerty keyboard test. Last I checked, I'm up to 80 wpm average on a Dvorak keyboard.
On average, I was at 80 wpm on Qwerty.
Certificates seemed kinda useless to me so I don't have one.
I love typing. I've played with typing programs for fun since my first computer when I was 6 years old.
I'm such a typing nerd that I switched to a Dvorak keyboard in hopes of typing even faster. After using it for about 1 to 2 years, I can say I really can see it making me type faster. The keys are in much more logical places.
