We are all aware that social networking sites (Facebook/Twitter) are really hot these days. So what do you prefer to use guys? Do you text more or post status updates more?

I don't really text that much- only when it's important..And I don't even put post status updates on Fb. I just check it out, see if there's new messages, play games, connect with friends and check on them. i definitely prefer social networking sites since there are many more things you can do with them than just texting..

I have a Facebook account and I am active there. I also have a Twitter and Plurk accounts but I am not always there.
As for your question, it depends. If I want to have a personal talk, I use text messages. But if I want to tell something funny or to speak my mind out, I use the social networking sites I am affiliated with.

I don't have a Facebook account but I have one with Twitter. But use them differently. I'd probably use a social network site for well, just social matters. Texting for me are more for business than for socializing. (I know, you can also conduct your business using FB or Twitter) Besides, not all of my contacts have accounts on either Facebook or Twitter or if they do, they don't have immediate access to it.

I have a Facebook account but I don't have a twitter account. I don't even know how to tweet. I do text more as I can contact my loved ones here without having to be online. But I think social networks are a good way to see or get in touch with our friends and relatives from afar. I am not at Facebook on a regular basis. I am here more often at Mylot.

I think social networking sites are effective tool of communication too especially if you do not have cellphone load and your friends and family are always online, e.g. Facebook/Twitter since internet is readily available. But for those who do not use the internet in a daily basis I think they more rely still on mobile phones.

I would rather use Facebook/Twitter over texting. I do own a Smartphone, and do have like a text messaging plan. But, it's only got like 250 allowed text messages on it. I like texting, but, not as good as doing Facebook. I can do Facebook on my smartphone and have a Facebook app downloaded to my smartphone.
It's a heck of a lot easier to do than on a mobile web browser on your phone.
The fact that I can do almost the same thing on my smartphone compared to my laptop, I would rather do Facebook on my smartphone over texting since I don't have many people that I text to. I only got the texting service because of this one website kept sending me texts to me every durn month and was charging me. I did try to take it off, but, it never did. So, I thought, heck, just get the text messaging plan, and than let it be it. Plus I can text to update my status on FB also through Text. But, yes, I would rather Do FB than text. :D Lots better, and lots cheaper ;on my smartphone.

Yes, if we can connect with friends thru these social networking sites, why not right? At least you do not have to pay costly phone bills. Actually in my experience, I get in touch w/ friends a lot faster thru FB because they are usually online there. I seldom use my phone. That's why I tell my friends to contact me thru Facebook :)

I love doing both. I love these both platform of networking because aside from keeping in touch with my friends it is also my way to getting informations. Definitely enjoyed being part of these two sites. And also there are a lot of software that you'll just to post in one and this will integrate to all social networks you have especially Tweetdeck.

Hi rane! Yeah, actually these social networking sites are a great way to keep in touch w/ long lost friends :) And keeps you up to date to your friends' whereabouts. But I do love texting too, but sometimes my friends prefer using Facebook or Twitter. Besides there's a lot of stuff that you can do as well, like games etc. :)

I usually go online in facebook just to play. I rarely post updates with facebook. So til now I am used to texting rather than posting status updates.
