Is compulsory to add creditcard into my paypal account for rent refferals?

I want to rent refferals for my Onbux through paypal account.When i tried to add funds into my rental balance through paypal it asked for link a credit card to complete this transaction.I do not understand is credit card compulsory for add funds into my onbux.
