Valentine's Day has never been a big deal for me other than getting the kids school valentine's organized, hoping for SOMETHING from the hubs and always being disappointed. My current hubs has always been away working on the day, but he never forgets to send me flowers anyway and that is always such a treat as I LOVE fresh flowers in the house. But now..........I'll never forget YOUR anniversary and that will always make the day special for me from now on!

I haven't "celebrated" Valentine's Day in probably... 12 years. It's a made up holiday commemorating something most people know nothing about and the date was chosen because it's the beginning of birds' mating seasons. *shrug*
But that aside, this year I have decided to do a little something for some single girlfriends who have been single and *NOT* loving it for a while now. Just little gifts to show girlfriends can celebrate "love day" too, it doesn't just have to be for couples. I got one a journal and crocheted her a scarf, another I got a set of bud vases and a really great book I don't think she's read (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, for anyone who is interested)... and then for each of them, some Valentine candy, heart shaped crazy straws...silly little things and I'm baking them cookies today.

My hubby and I celebrate it. But we got engaged on the day. So I guess it has a small amount of specialness to it. Getting engaged to him would be the best gift I ever received. My hubby is FANTASTIC. So it looks like we have something in common. Congrats!

I don't know, I never feel special in valentine's day, maybe I will feel valentine's day special if I already have someone to share with. but I hear from my friend when the valentine's day come My friend and her husband celebrate the day by exchanging present to each other. It is sound so sweet by the way. I think you can celabrate valentine's day by exchange present with you husband too like my freind.

I'm pretty indifferent towards it. It's a bit more exciting when you have a boyfriend/girlfriend, or a valentine. It just makes single people feel bad (for some). It's pretty simple to get a gift for it though...chocolates/candies are usually the acceptable thing. You don't really HAVE to think about it...unless your partner is picky or something.
I can't really think of a good gift or a terrible gift I've gotten for Valentine's Day. I never really had an awesome one or anything. This year will be my first one with my current boyfriend, so I guess we will see.

Hello tessah,
Actually I am fianlly looking forward to this one Valentines day. I got my boyfreind Reuz baseball Phillies striped authentic shirt for Valentines and just spending time together whether he get me something or not. It is like Valentines with him majority of the time. The winter has been bothering him to much snow and not being get out for our walks. this past weekend was the first time in along time with 40 degree temperatures. Baseball just around the corner and fishing will put a spring back in his step.
Thanks and have a great Valentines Day

It is getting close. But I am not really a fan of the celebration. I do love the thought of it thou. It is really meaningful. It reminds people to care and love for the other. But most especially is it is the best time for lovers. I am saying that I am not a fan of the celebration because the way I see it, showing one's love should be an everyday thing. It does not need any reminder of some sort for you to show how important someone is to you. If you really do love someone, it should show at any given moment. Just like today. It was a lot of fun. I was with someone truly dear to me. It was a while since we got to see each other so we did a lot of things together. We ate outside. We went all over the city. The most fun of it thou is even thou that we are already adults, we played arcade almost all afternoon. We won prices. We got two stuffed toys. We decided to give the other what we got for playing as gifts. As we moved around some more, we noticed lots of flowers and heart shaped things all over the place. That was the only time that we realized that valentine's day is getting closer. We are never so particular on dates. When we are together, things are beautiful.
Best wishes. All the best Tessah.
