things Grandchildren say

My 3 year old Grand daughter loves animals. She has a cat and that cat will let her do anything and will follow her and you can see they adore each other. Yesterday though my Grand daughter asked my daughter if she could have a mouse. Her Mum said no and after asking a few times and getting the same answer she asked if she could have a Hippo then. My daughter asked her where on earth would we keep a hippo to which she replied that he could live in her paddling pool! Oh for life to be as simple as children that age see it lol

Hello MAllen! Yes, i agree, the way kids see life is priceless. Everything is there, in front of them, in hand's reach. They can now be a champion in a horse race, and the next minute to go in a spaceship over the moon. For them everything is possible and they are always happy. We, grownups, should learn from them, maybe that way life would be easier and happier.

That was something you'll always remember. Kids do come up with some good ones. My grandson asked me one time if they had television when I was little. He must have really thought I was old.

I don't have grandchildren yet but your granddaughter is adorable! What an original thinker and problem solver! I look forward to enjoying at least one grandchild but I don't think he/she will come soon. For now, that baby isn't even a gleam in her father's eye but there is a wedding being tentatively planned for next year!

Oh lordy, I am going to date myself! Years ago Art Linkletter had a program with a segment called "Kids Say the Darnest Things", I believe he also had a book out with the same title. I can remember thinking that sometimes out of the mouths...come the solutions to seemingly insoluble issues. Simplistic or simply innocence? Either way, those were the days...
