Someone posted about Wal Mart's prices and I went there today and I am so disappointed!! You were right!!! The prices of there meat were ridiculous!!!And they did nor have any eggs!!! Come on!! Eggs? Needless to say I only got a few things there and I went across the street to Aldi's!!! Much better prices on their meat like the Chicken, Beef, and other things!!! And I will be shopping there and Kroger from now on except for cat food. Anyway To the Wal Mart Poster Thank you, and Happy posting I will get some of them that dels somewhere else.

Walmart's meat prices are getting so rediculous. I have not been buying to much meat lately which is driving my husband crazy because he loves meat. I know their bread prices have gone up as well. I do buy the juices and cerals at Walmart because they are cheaper. I also buy Mayonaise, ketchup and mustard because they are cheaper and so is the sandwich meat. I think I will look at Sam's Club and see how their meat prices are. I know you buy in bulk, but it will last a while and if need be I have a friend who could probably use some meat as well.

I agree wal mart has driven the prices up on meat and I noticed the bread prices went up too!! It is a shame!! What really got me the last time I went there other than seeing the ridiculos prices on the meat there were no eggs at all on the shelf, and no soy milk either!! I will be shopping elsewhere for meat but I still will get some things like you said there like Mayo and other things but not any of the things that they have raised their prices on! Have you tried Aldi's?

Why did the price go so high that you and others blame Wal Mart? I want to know the reason behind the phenomenon. To my knowledge, WM has best supply chains all over the world. And it is the one of a few supermarkets that are capable of allocating resources on a global level.

Well I like Wal mart I am just so tired of going there all the time and they have really raised their prices lately and there was a big write up about it and I had to see for myself, but I still buy some things there. Have a good day!!

Yep I felt that way when they opened the Super Center here in November. Prices went up & some were listed as "rollbacks" but were just at the price when they were in their old building for the yarn I often bought. They are cheaper than k-mart and our local grocery chains for groceries except for meat and some produce.
Meat unless you get there when they have alot of mark downs and good ones at that... no it's not worth the hassel. You are better off watching the sales and going with what you know to be a good price in your area & quality.

We used to have a K mart here but not any more and they always show commercials for them which I don't get because there is no more k marts around here unless it is over 100 miles, I just went to aldis and found better deals on the meat, I like some things at wal mart but now that I have seen there prices raised, I will only go for certain things.
