"Real happiness lies in making others happy".....?

When I heard the saying that real happiness lies in making others happy of Saint Mehr Baba I was very much impressed.When I began to ponder over it again and again I realised and was fully convinced that it is very true.When we talk of happiness we immediately relate it to our personal happiness.Then the question arises as to how the happiness of others can make us happy.Visualise a situation that you are living in the midst of people who are feeling miserable and talk only of their miseraries.. can you be happy?Similarly when you are in the mmidst of jovial and happy people we are apt to forget our miseraries to some extent.So if you make people around you happy you naturally become happy seeing them happy.Is it not..?

I guess this is true. I like the feeling that in the end of the day I was able to help someone and was able to make that person smile. It really uplifts my spirit. It gives me satisfaction.

If you do not hurt others and by your words and deeds if you can make others smile you will be pleasing not only those to whom you do good but also God.God himself is full of love and mercy and we all pray Him to give us happiness.Similarly when you can make others happy you will also be happy in turn.May God bless you..

Making other people happy, sometimes it makes us happy. Happiness of the people we care about, is happiness for us. But, I am very different. I always make others happy, while I have to sacrifice my happiness for the happiness of the people I love. I such as candles, which shed light to others, but my own melted and destroyed.

Yes it is true.In the midst of unhappy people you cannot be happy.If you can make them happy by soothing words or charitable action they feel immensely grateful to you and in doing that you also derive happiness.This is an excellent saying I have heard...

I totally believe this is true...when you give of yourself also you can see the rewards in the joy you give others! I love being the giver....I love seeing people's faces when you say or do something special for them..and what goes around....comes around!

So agree with me that the real happiness lies making others happy.When you make people around you happy they feel grateful to you.When you see smiling faces you also smile.Smiling is the indication of happiness.If every tries to follow this principle there can be no one who will be unhappy on this world..

I haven't read or heard about saint Meher baba.But there was a person whom i met when i was trying for employment and he was a devotee of the saint.This person was always calm and unruffled.He would say soothing words to all around.If there was a person who was propagating the saint's ideals this was the person.

I too have not met saint Mehr Baba but I have heard about him.He said these words.There is so much truth in these words.The saints are those who have sacrificed everthing for the sake of others.In this process of sacrifice they find immense pleasure.When you make others smile and along with you also smile.What else you want in life..
