Man City are coming off a good victory this weekend, while Man United are coming off from a loss to the last team in the league table. So what will the result when the two face off in the Manchester Derby next week. Do you think Tevez can inspire Man City against his old employers? What are your views on this match? Cheers! Ram

Is Man U the type of team that can get upset about a loss soo much that they take it out on their next opponent? If so , Man City is doomed! But if Man City can get up and inflict some payback for their coach , they will win.

It is a derby match i.e. two teams from the same city fight it out. So the results before and after usually do not matter. It is more about the passions and bragging rights within the city. The stadium will be half full with each set of supporters and hence the noise and support would be incredible. For too long Man City has lived in the shadows of Man U, so are desperate to come out of that shadow and inflict losses on Man U. The key point is now they have a team with which they can do exactly that. But whether they have the mental strength to do that or whether Man U can again draw on their incredible never say die attitude and win again, that is the question. Cheers! Ram

I want Man U to stumble as that would allow Arsenal to catch up with them in the title chase. Cheers! Ram

It's going to be a tough match as always, because it's a derby. Manchester City has always been in the shadows of United, but now they have got alot of millions and they are placed 3rd in the league. Manchester City has got a bad period the last matches, but they won 3-0 last game against West Brom. So they are probably ready for this match. United lost their first match last match against Wolves. I think United will take revenge. They know it's an important match, because if City win, then the race is more close. I think it will be a close game, and I hope that it will be a draw, because i hope Arsenal can take the title this year, but United won last time, and in fact I think they win again.

Yes, as an Arsenal fan, I would be rooting for Man City as then it would throw the title race wide open. I am hoping the match will be as thrilling as last year's 4-3 one. I am just hoping this time though the tables are turned. :) Cheers! Ram

Last match between these teams was amazing. 7 goals. I hope there will be a lot of goals. My guess for the result is 3-2 for United, but 3-3 would be the best :)

I think that this game will be a game with many goals and Dzeko finally making a good game for City. I think this game will end in a 2-2 draw, and the ones who will watch the game, will have plenty to talk about after it. I don't know who will score for United, but I think that Dzeko will score twice for City. I don't know why, but this is my guess for this one.

If it is anything like the 4-3 match we had last year than fans can really enjoy the match. It would be interesting to see the effect Dzenko will have in the match. In the first match, I felt that he was very ineffective, but then players take time to settle into a new league. Cheers! Ram

In my opinion Dzeko is one of the best strikers nowadays. That is why I am surprised that he hasn't made an immediate impact on City's performance. But maybe as time passes by he will start scoring on gamely basis.

I think some strikers really struggle in the physical game at England. Remember Diego Forlan!! Cheers! Ram

I don't know what will be the income. A draw maybe. We all know that Mancini didn't afraid to approach the game negatively like what they did at Arsenal. A draw mean ManC will be 5 points behind, while a lost will pull them further down but a win will push them to 2 points behind ManU. But they might play for a draw playing in mind ManU still have Arsenal, Chelsea home and away, Spurs and Liverpool. As an arsenal fans I hope its a draw or ManC win. A win for ManC won't worry me because I believe that ManC will drop more points in the future compares to ManU.

The last time these two teams met, they played out a pale, very bore 0-0 draw. I am hoping for a different approach this time around. I think Manchester United will be cautious in their approach since they have many big games ahead. Man City don't play Champions league and have a good opportunity to inflict some damage. I am looking forward to see Vidic vs Dzeko clash. Tevez will be looking to score against his former club. Anything can happen in football and his derby is no exception either. Lets hope that we see some goals.

But, I do not think Man U will sit back at Old Trafford. After the defeat at the hand of the Wolves they would be hurting. So I expect them to come at City straight away. On the other hand, I expect Mancini to be defensive with three holding midfielders like in the last match these two teams played out. Cheers! Ram

They definetly can and I think they will. It will be tough but I predict that Man U will go on a little bit of a bad run and as they lost last week I think that they will lose to man City. It will be a great game but I think in the end Carlos Tevez will score a goal or 2 against his old team and I think Man City will come out victorious.

If Man U has a bit of a bad run then that would really spice up the season. As then Arsenal and Chelsea will get a chance to catch up. Cheers! Ram

They have a chance, but the thing is, Mancini is very negative when he plays the big teams, often with a very defensive 4-5-1 system. He is happy with a 0-0 draw or to nick a 1-0 win, not losing is his main priority. The way to beat United in my opiniom is to attack them, easy said than done, But due injuries and suspensions United's defence is not as solid as it once was. If you put them on the back foot, you will get rewarded, Blackpool, WBA, Everton, Liverpool have all scored 2 or more against them this season. However as I have said I think City will sit back and play for a draw, so I think United will edge it.It is important that Giggs plays, He's been the catayst for the good displays United have put in recently.

I agree that if he sets the team to defend it would be a big mistake. Man U knows how to grind results against such tactics. I think he should go for the jugular in the first half and if his team can take a lead, then maybe shore up the back a bit and defend tight. Cheers! Ram
